Homarus in Thailand ? Lobster in Thailand ? Bangkok Restaurant or Pattaya Restaurant ?

Hello,

Do you know if it is possible to eat homarus in Thailand ?

It seems that eating homarus reduces the chance to eat farmed animals (stuffed with antibiotics and pesticides), but when eating lobsters I guess that the ones we find in Thailand are farmed ?

Any information about homarus and lobster in Thailand is welcome.

Please tell me where you ate a good one lately.

Happy new year !

As I mentioned in an other tread (western food ?) lobster/homard can be had at Paris Bangkok restaurant.

Some expensive seafood buffets have them also.

Edit: no it was you who asked the same question in Bangkok forum.

Stop embarrassing people and use the search function.

Until recently there were no lobster(homarus) farms. Lobsters are cannibalistic. Now some are having some success.. But the lobsters available in Thailand this year are almost certainly wild caught. There has been a huge increase in the numbers of lobsters off Canada and Maine probably related to global warming. Enjoy it while you can. Further south, where lobsters used to be caught in great numbers, they are in serious decline. The sea just got too warm.
