Sorry, a few questions here.. Hope you can help..

My B visa will run out in a few months, which i intend on renewing in the UK, but not until a month or two after it has already expired (i do not have a work permit, just the visa).

I believe i can only renew my B visa if i do not have a work permit, not extend, and this can only be done in my country of origin..yes?

To bridge the gap I dont really fancy going out of the country to sort out a tourist visa, unless i really need to. I read something about border runs now being 30 days for certain countries. Is the UK still 15 days, or are we granted the 30 days now?

THanks so much for any help given.

In a neighbouring country you will not get a new non-B visa without company paperwork.

A UK citizen now gets 30 days, a tourist visa would give you 60 day to be extended by 30 days.

Don't forget, assuming the B is a multi-entry you can do a border hop just before it expires and get another 90 days.

Thank you both.
I do have the paperwork from the company, but was informed (by others) that it is best to re-apply from my home country.
I can apply in a neighbouring country?

Thanks again.

"You will not get the visa at any nearby location without a work permit."

Is it no longer an option to apply for the WP, get a form WP3, go get a visa, then pick up your WP?

Not for a multiple entry B visa. For a single entry no problem.
