Where to buy nice pebbles for landscaping?

Featured Replies

I'm thinking of adding pebbles on an area of concrete in my garden.

My question now is if there is anyone who knows where to buy nice pebbles around Pattaya area.

I've been looking and found pebbles but not nice ones.

The local landscape supplier where I live on the dark side has pebbles, river rocks, whatever you want to call them, in various sizes and colours. They come in small bags around 10KG for 40 baht a bag. If you know where the Black Hole bar (formerly TittyTwisters) is, it's past them on the same side.

Thanks for the tip.

Yes I have been there and looked but they only had the usual pebbles like most stone vendors have not fit for my purpose. I would like those who are highly polished and in different colors.

The nearest finish to the vid on your post that is commonly available here would be sand wash.

Stones for sand washing come in different sizes though not as big as the pebbles in the vid. They are not pebbles but crushed rock.

If it is of any help sand wash stone is available at the garden centre place on the northbound carriageway of Sukhumvit close to the Elephant coral in Na Jomtien

If you need a lot best go to Ang Sila, thats where they all come from and about half the price of the Pattaya vendors. Only about 40 minutes from Pattaya just before chonburi.

Ang Sila seems exciting, I'll take a trip there and look if there is any fine pebbles.

Any specific locations in Ang Sila ?

I always believed that they were harvested from the Mekhong river.

if you are driving towards Conburi on the Sukhumvit, you will see the turn off for Ang Sila, have shop upon shop on both sides of the road specialising in the stones that are quarried there, difficult to describe the one i use.... but i will try, when you come off the sukhumvit and driving into Ang Sila you come to a set of traffic lights, after the traffic lights you will see stone shops on both sides of the road, on the left there is a line of noodle shops and then the first stone shop, good prices and easy to deal with - this particular shop the owner works in Satthaip so if you order a big lot he will drop off on his way past.

While there you can see them hand carve mortar and pestles, some beautiful stone carvings.
