I see locals doing things the majority of the time here, both when I visited the beaches and in cities around Thailand. Yes, I do see some foreigners acting strange, and have met a few, but it's a tiny fraction of what I've noticed living here. Someone walking around frowning might mean they're having a bad day, and could be happy most of the time. I have seen locals and foreigners road raging, but not many times. Foreigners are more likely to use their horns and yell, both here and back home, and locals are more likely to cause the problems here in the first place that has foreigners responding. If what you're seeing is mostly or all in Pattaya, then it's mostly tourists and some expats living there, and that's a tiny amount of the expats living in Thailand. Tourists are the ones causing problems here, and expats aren't, and expats aren't all miserable and low on funds. I have seen foreigners in Isaan that will look away when you look at them, but it's a very small amount. Most will greet you and smile, as the one did when my daughter and i went to a restaurant 2 days ago. Hey mate, how are you, was his opening line. That's my point.
