Chief financial officer of NagaWorld Philip Lee presents a cash prize of $3,000 to Cambodia’s SEA Games 2013 petanque gold medallist Ke Leng

Entertainment and gaming sector giants NagaWorld presented cash rewards of $3,000 each to the individual athletes and $5,000 each to the two vovinam teams who brought home eight gold medals in all from last month’s SEA Games in Myanmar.

Wrestling accounted for four golds, while taekwondo and petanque had one gold each as Cambodia garnered a record 48 medals, including 11 silver from the biennial Games.

The chief financial officer of NagaWorld, Philip Lee, distributed the cash prizes, which stemmed from the Go For Gold program.

A special award of $500 each for the eight gold medals won was presented to the National Olympic Committee of Cambodia via its secretary-general, Vath Chamroeun.

Two more bonanzas await the Games medallists, one from Angkor Beer and the other from the Ministry of Education under a special governmental sub-decree on cash incentives for sporting achievements.
