BANGKOK: -- The Pheu Thai party has denied a press report that the party has offered a 50-million baht reward for anyone who kills protest leader Suthep Thaugsuban.

In a press conference held on Wednesday, Pheu Thai party leader Charupong Ruangsuwan denied he signed a document published by the press instructing red-shirt followers to provoke violence in order to force the military to endorse the invocation of the emergency decree to cope with the protests.

In the same document, it was alleged that the Pheu Thai party had set a 50-million baht bounty for the death of Suthep.

Charupong said that the document was fake and was meant to demonise the Pheu Thai party and to provoke chaos in the country.

Meanwhile, Ms Sunisa Lertpakawat, the government’s deputy spokesperson, accused ill-intent elements of trying to tarnish the reputation of the Pheu Thai party and to provoke misunderstanding among the protesters.

She also denied that the party was behind the incident at a press conference held by the Democrat party on Tuesday to present its reform blueprint in which a man blew a whistle at Democrat party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva and criticized the party.

Is this because the military chef came to say that if there is violence next week, the mighty PTP government need to take responsibility?

I hope they chicken out so that not many people are going to be killed.

You mention the military chef and chicken in one sentence. Is pad krapow gai kai dao on the menu?

No, disagree. I think for these 2, it's question of what can we make out of the leftovers and who will give us a hand. There is still that option, even before Monday

50 million baht paid to murder our Khun Suthep, then followed by a 50 year prison sentence, that`s 1 million baht for each year served.

Sounds like a great deal to me. OK then, who`s willing to take up the offer?

A 50 year sentence is reserved for siphoning off tea money from the police pay pot - down from 800 years for remorse and payback.

50million baht.... meh.

the people of thailand and the election box speak louder than that.

but its the estimated 200million baht damage to the economy that most people are worried about.

seems like a no brainer.

The use of Benito when referring to Suthep needs to stop as it is inflammatory. Any more posts in this manner will continue to disappear.

Edit to add: An off topic post has been removed as well as a reply.
