Local Drunk
Suthep walks down the street while openly calling for the overthrow of a democratically elected PM. He says he does not want elections because he knows the yellows cannot win. I notice so many of the posters here are trying to find humor in this situation but likely if it were their home, they would not find it so funny. Is it funny that the economy is slowing and likely to fall into negative GDP soon? Maybe is is a good laugh that the media all over the world is attacking the Thai elite for this power grab. I can assure you that if violence breaks out and dead are in the street that even you boys and girls now having a laugh might find things less than funny. About this threat. The problem is the many on both sides would likely kill the opposing side for free if given the chance. The assumption by so many is that this coup to come will be the same as the last and that your lives in Thailand will then go on as usual. That could be so but when you play with fire, a disaster could occur the likes of Beirut. While the Generals are all publicly either neutral or Yellows, the in-listed men under these generals are split and likely in a 60% to 40% leaning toward the Red cause. If some of these groups were to take up arms in the defense of the Lady PM, this nation would be torn apart in violent conflict. Yes, this coup might be the same as the last, but the Reds could fight back this time and that would end your stay in Thailand my former drinking buddies. Get your passports ready for your run over the boarder should you need to get to safety. Relax...You'll be Ok...
Popular Post ratcatcher
The use of Benito when referring to Suthep needs to stop as it is inflammatory. Any more posts in this manner will continue to disappear. Edit to add: An off topic post has been removed as well as a reply. And any use of Mother Theresa, Gandhi, Dalai Lama, Jesus, and Aung San Suyi when referring to Suthep also needs to stop as it is even more inflammatory. But it might be permissible to refer to him as a modern day Moses, since he's about to part the Red Sea and lead his people to the Promised Land?

jpeg
Ms Sunisa Lertpakawat, the government’s deputy spokesperson. Where is Pheu Thai spokesman Prompong Nopparit now? Probably in hiding like most of the PTP super-stars. Suthep's big Superstars, are just starting to come out, on the other hand. Wait until Northern People see their beloved Carabao support the Anti Government Protesters. No amount of money, will bring them down to Bangkok to fight, with Carabao on the other side. ;-) Carabao have been supporting Suthep for five years... wow! As much as I despise PTP, Carabao perfect xenophobic match for Suthep. 'We Thai People nah! We speak Thai! Nah! We gin aharn THAI NA!!!!! The source, is D-Hippy Riders (https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000598249384) I believe it is real. It shows members of Carabao Band, with Anti-Government demonstrators. Carabao is wearing a T-shirt saying " Quit hurting Thailand". Definitely not photoshopped. As for the date, it was taken, I have no idea, but looking at the demonstrators around, it is the same side, for sure. I recognize the guy in the middle. tingtongteesood
HA! The protestors don't need to do anything to 'tarnish' the reputation of the PT party, the truth does that better than anything else ever could !

Probably on the run from his two-year prison sentence...! That does appear to be de rigueur for the PTP.

And then dumbheads are echoing this nonsense. Got a link to substantiate this? Both sides have threatened. Suthep's been talking about executing corrupt politicians etc. If you want a link, just read some of the newspapers from April to May 2010. Ample material to be found in there about the ranting of the redhirt headhonchos... Not only for burning down and looting the town, but also about killing opponents. If you look at Youtube with the right keywords you will also find original recordings of the red heads of that time... Ample substance. And though I don't support death sentence of any kind, it is a difference, if you call for capital punishment for corrupt politicians as it happens in China, Vietnam and other states around Asia or if you call for the murder of an opponent. Can we agree on that? I don't hate normal red-shirts, I only pity them, because they are taken for a ride by their bosses without realizing it... indyuk
The arrogance of the man is beyond belief. He can't possible believe that anyone in Thailand would pay for him to be removed. NoshowJones
Is this because the military chef came to say that if there is violence next week, the mighty PTP government need to take responsibility? I hope they chicken out so that not many people are going to be killed. Change that "not many" to "no".

His own karma will do the job for him, as it has for other Thai extremists in the inglorious past of Thai democracy. Not really as most of them just died as we all will ultimately do. Also there are quite a few more recent ones still around: Suchinda, Chavalit, Banharn & Thaksin, not to mention the nearly men Chalerm, Sanoh & the one in Cambodia whose name I can't spell..
