No, it's not in their "culture and heritage". I just dated a Chinese girl and she was very well mannerd. The issue is just that China is a country with over 1.4 billion people. So just on sheer odds you will have a large number of rude people. Then factor in that a large proportion of those people live in extreme poverty and degraded living conditions on a daily basis and you have an explanation for bad manners. Even when they get catapulted overnight into middle class status by getting a job at a factory it doesn't change their bad manners. Though economically many Chinese have made the transitiion to middle class, at least by Chinese standards, they have not made the transition to middle class in terms of manners. The very wealthy Chinese who grew up in a privileged environment have fairly good manners. -

MY parents drank Typhoo, I drink Typhoo. But currently also drinking Tata Gold, which also tastes like Typhoo. -
