How idiotic has this situation became. S is treats Y to kick her out of Thailand and make sure that she will not have happy days etc. now the Reds (at least on idiot) is doing even more stupid things and treats to kidnap the kids of the general. With all the polemics of the recent month (from both sides) Thailand went over the point of return. It has to be a winner or loose in this battle but it does not mean that we will have winner of the war. The Thai society is so split with nearly equal numbers that it will take years and a great leader to reconcile the society. And at present I can't see anybody emerging as a leader of all Thais. Y as a part of the Shins and Suthep stubborn without any concern for the Thai society only thinking of the group which he presents. The consequences will be that this dilemma will go on for a longer time Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect Thailand

There is a history in this country of extremists carrying out violent, repugnant acts on innocent people. Nobody on here should pretend that whichever group their sympathies lie with is incapable of producing hese monsters. In 1976, ultra-royalists murdered 100s of Thais, with one woman gang-raped & strangled before having a shoe forced down her throat. Seemingly nice people often do despicable things to other humans & anybody on this forum who in future days tries to deny or defend them nullifies their right to have a voice.

We should all agree right now: unprovoked violence or threats against innocents are disgusting and unacceptable.

Do you think that the army chief might see it this way??

It went further than this - he actually stated that delivering his two daughters "dead or alive" will do!! In other words he is encouraging kidnap as well as inciting murder!!

How about the DSI arresting him.

Steve, his post is just a classic attempt to defend the indefensible. The piece was reported on the Bangkok Post's website yesterday so the remark about the Nation was equally off the mark.

No doubt there are sickos on both sides but too many PTP acolytes trying to twist this into some sort of blame someone else game instead of just a simple condemnation or shutting up.

You are probably right. But I wouldn't put it past these Thaksinites to truly believe the rubbish they write as they obviously don't have a rational grasp on the real situation we are facing in Thailand today.

I often wonder if ALL these government supporters on TV are trolls, as the positions they take lends itself to this!!!

Read the last line, fabio.

See, I am not the only one with such a low opinion of your type ! Or the only one willing to say as much.

Thanks SICHONSTEVE thumbsup.gif

When I read the headline of this story I did not bat an eyelid. This is typical of the low-life tactics employed by anyone associated with the crim from Dubai.

Look at the redshirts, before the crim took them under his wing and molded them into the vicious thugs they are today, they were just the village drunks, annoying hardworking people for money to buy their next bottle of lao cao.

anything is possible but given red shirt history and words which cannot be disputed ill believe threat is genuine. Any group of people who can throw contaminated HIV blood around try to kit-nap Abahist offer 5 million for Supep's head are not a group you can give much if any benefit of doubt

The problem is posters go beyond simple condemnation of the individual involved and start on with diatribes about 'red thugs' and the like. That's why it's worth pointing out that rhetoric has escalated on both sides. Actually people continually going on about one side or the other being 'thugs' are wrong. The majority on both are not violent thugs, just ordinary people that reflect wider society. Anyway, if you're sympathetic to either side, I don't see how you can really jump on your moral high horse without being a hypocrite at this point (not saying this to you, Ken, just generally)... condemn people who have clearly overstepped the mark, yes, but holier than thou overtones seem pretty empty at this point.

Typical red scum. What's more disgusting is how some of the reds here are trying to defend what was written. I mean wrong is wrong. What else is there to say?

And where's the condemnation from the UDD? From the PTP? From Yingluck? No of course they won't do it. They're all in the same gang.

Now imagine if I posted this on the student protesters' threat to render air traffic control inoperable ( bearing in mind this will threaten many more innocent lives if planes coming into land cannot receive landing instructions & is therefore a threat to lives):

Typical yellow scum. What's more disgusting is that TVGerry & his ilk make no condemnation of this. I mean wrong is wrong.

So, if wrong truly is wrong (& by the way, I'm vs. both Lunatic brigades, not just one)....

Where IS your condemnation? Or is threatening to put lives in danger ok if it's the 'peaceful' protestors doing he threatening?

Judging by the way they re-invent their names on a regular basis after being banned you could be on to something there! thumbsup.gif

Unbelievable the gall and stupidity to post such a threat to the army chief! He would have been more discreet hanging a sign on his door asking someone to come kill him Sent from my GT-S5310 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

How is it so unbelievable and stupid to do this? How is it stupid exactly? isnt that the idea of the post?... its to scare the Army chief!

you are talking like its bad to make a threat to someone in authority!

I DO NOT agree with threats to peoples kids. its very low and bad. but you were talking like it was bad because it was to someone in authority... (rather than the nastiness of the actual threat itself).

The fact that it was an Army Chief has little to do with anything...

I am sure that the person did it from an internet cafe away from his home, and with a spoof account... so i doubt it is traceable.

If you think it is not bad to threaten someone in authority, I can only suggest that you post or send e-mails threatening to kill Obama's children. Very shortly afterwards, some nice people will come to your home and explain it to you.

you clearly did not read my post!

I said that I DO NOT AGREE WITH THREATS TO PEOPLES KIDS !!!

I was purely talking about the fact that the original post from 'TheSetat2013' seemed to be saying that 'speaking out against authorities is a bad thing'.

(and if you read a latter comment I made, I since found out that the guy did it from a real facebook account,, (not a spoof account).. so I already conceded that it was a silly thing to do (as he will have a warrant out for his arrest now).

PS: regarding the question you presented to me,, yes I would DEFINITELY write anything I wished against Obama, but I would NOT make any threats to his kids,, (as any sane person knows its below the belt and nasty).

Oh but I did read your post and this stood out "you are talking like its bad to make a threat to someone in authority!"

Given your stance on threatening children and your heroism, send some e-mails threatening to kidnap and kill Obama. It may prove quite educational.

Red Sunday leader Sombat (P'Nuling) condemns Sudchai's remarks.

Progressive red shirt @nuling condemns Sudchai Boonchai (For Thaksin group) for threat on Gen. Prayuth’s daughters.

แก้วมาลา Kaewmala @Thai_Talk 2m

Sombat B. @nuling: Disgusted by political fighting method of using threats against children/family of opponents. Stop this kind of rhetoric.

Good to see some sense.

I think he means problem? "bag maa" = mad dog mouth. Well I wouldn't disagree with him there. Not convinced about the theory that red shirts want a coup so they can return to BKK though. That's the one the anti-govt people seem convinced of. I mean, the red shirts keep saying they don't want a coup and making threats about what they'll do if it happen, so that really means they DO want a coup. So be aware of that, Ozymandias. The more the red shirts deny they want a coup, the more they actually want one. lol.

I personally think a coup is EXACTLY what the Yingluck/Thaksin team wants. Suthep gets pushed out

of the way, the whole rice scam blows up under the rule of the military, and then 6 months to a year

later there is a new " election" , money and false promises are made to the the red buffaloes, and bingo

a new Thaksin clone is in office, and then the looting can begin in earnest again....

Still amazed at the threat this guy made against the daughters.... In more normal times in Thailand,

this guy would have written his own death sentence...

Lol !! Thats the LAST thing I would do !!

Why would I want to tell Obama that I want to kidnap or kill him ?? !!!!

this is getting complicated to explain... Lol

When I say: "i see nothing wrong in threatening people in authority" I mean that its good to stand up to anyone if you feel are being wronged.

too many people just sit down and it up the butt !!

standing up to authority and making non-life threatening threats is completely fine. Do what needs to be done to get the truth out of the bag and wrong any rights.

but I dont agree with kidnapping or killing anyone,, kids, adults whatever.

As for a leader of a group of rebels, (and also if thai people) it seems quite common for thai politicians to say "in public" that they wish someone die.

this is alien for me. but maybe a common way of arguing over here in asia.

I recall watching a Korean Romantic Drama Movie: "My Sassy Girl". the lead female character was always saying: "you wanna die?" to the guy (coz that was her way of arguing with him).

and I have also seen a Japanese movie with some character saying: you wanna die? (as a casual argumentative threat).

Since I have never heard this in western movies, I guess its an Asian thing!!

I read in the newspapers over here so often about politicians wishing another politician die !!

its obviously a meaningless statement over here.

so threatening a politician over here may not be treated with a national-security 'mind-set' as it would in America.

anyway. I understand what you are saying.. and NO WAY WOULD I EVER BE THREATENING PEOPLES LIVES!!!

though, if you wanna do the honors and bring in on to Obama, then be my guest ;) Lol ;)

anyway,,, even if you managed to remove Obama, then we would just have another one to deal with for another 4 to 8 years. there is a never ending line of them waiting for their taste of power.

Not only that, Suthep has made remarks about YL's child, which although more subtle, it doesn't take much imagination to read between the lines. Moreover he has also mentioned that his followers keep an eye out for YL to report her location.

theres a bit of difference between blowing a whistle at YL's son and murdering the generals daughter but then again we are dealing with the twisted thaksin reds and they are a different kettle of fish and have no qualms killing anyone, just look at the way they have shot up the protest sites, they're thugs.

You seem to be oblivious to the thuggery on the other side, e,g. a taxi driver beaten to death or half dead. If you & your children were hounded by Suthep like YL has been, how would you feel. Many people would have already put the dog down. Fact is nobody has murdered the gens girlies & you are...still...only human. IOW have a sinful murderous self serving nature like the rest of us, even if you haven't yet realized it or woken up to the fact. But carry on in your holier than thou self righteous pompous little dream world, for a few more hours or days, till you return to dust.

This has to be one of the saddest things written on this entire forum. A threat has been made against INNOCENT children and you try and defend the action by giving some BS counter argument along the lines of 'but but...what about the yellows'. You should be ashamed of yourself for the post you made above. And what is with the 'a taxi driver beaten to death or half dead' line anyway. The guy was either beaten to death or not, and as you quote the story then you must have researched it right? So which one was it? Beaten to death or half death (what is that?) or....not beaten at all?

As for Sutchai Booncha, I imagine he is in shock now as he thought that only his 'friends' read his FaceBook page. Funny isn't it how when people get a 'friend request' off someone they believe that the person who sent it wants to be 'friends'.

I hope the Army resist all attempts by the PTP to instigate a coup as it is the perfect 'get out of jail free' plan for them concerning their raping of the Thai Treasury over the last 2 years.
