thaimedic Posted January 14, 2014 Share Posted January 14, 2014 Hello, My girlfriend and I are final-year medical students who currently live in Chiang Mai, Thailand. . .We were wondering if anybody knows of any places in the Krabi area of Thailand where a hospital, clinic or non-profit organization would allow/need medical volunteers? AussieSteve Posted February 9, 2014 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Hi Guys, There is an organisation called Childrens Organisation of Southeast Asia (COSA) in Mae Rim, Chiang Mai. A guy named Mickey who is a Thai/American runs it and they have medical missions to the remote hilltribes further north a few times a year. I am an EMT and helped out on one of these last year. They go into the village schools and give the children a health check. Check out their website www.cosasia.org you will enjoy the experience, I've been there but now I live in Bangkok so can't get there very easily, but it's just up the road from you guys. Have fun.
