thaimedic
Hello, My girlfriend and I are final-year medical students who currently live in Chiang Mai, Thailand. . .We were wondering if anybody knows of any places in the Krabi area of Thailand where a hospital, clinic or non-profit organization would allow/need medical volunteers? AussieSteve
Hi Guys, There is an organisation called Childrens Organisation of Southeast Asia (COSA) in Mae Rim, Chiang Mai. A guy named Mickey who is a Thai/American runs it and they have medical missions to the remote hilltribes further north a few times a year. I am an EMT and helped out on one of these last year. They go into the village schools and give the children a health check. Check out their website www.cosasia.org you will enjoy the experience, I've been there but now I live in Bangkok so can't get there very easily, but it's just up the road from you guys. Have fun.
