Buying a playstation 3 in Bangkok

Featured Replies

I'm looking to buy a PS3 for my place to try stop me going out so much. I don't know much about them so I need some advice.

1) Where is a good shop to get a genuine PlayStation 3 in Bangkok?

2) I've been looking online and I noticed they have different GB's, what does this mean? I want to buy one that will be able to play any of the games I buy. I am mostly looking to buy the new Grand Theft Auto & Fifa 14, so will I need a certain amount of GB's to play these games? For some reason I'm guessing the GB's is to do with how many games you can save on the console? If I'm right, if I ever run out could I buy something to add on which would give me more memory?

Sorry if I sound quite thick, I haven't brought a console in years and I'm trying to work how much money I need to be saving.

Cheers

The GB is how much storage the console has. 500GB seems to be the standard and is more than enough as long as you are not downloading lots of trailers, movies etc. Some games install themselves onto the HDD so they load faster etc, but still require the disc in the drive to work.

If you ever run out (unlikely) you can always replace the HDD fairly easily yourself with a bigger one.

Thanks for the info. Do you have any idea how much a 500GB Playstation 3 would cost in Bkk?

Going by UK prices a new console (not a bundle with games etc) would be the equivellent of 7000 - 7500 baht. If you go second hand you will prob get a bargain as people offload them for the new PS4.
