Supervisor for a Year 12 student

Featured Replies

My family and I are in Patong for this year and my daughter is doing Year 12 online. She needs someone who is a registered teacher to supervise her exams during the year. There shouldn't be many as she is only doing 3 subjects. Can anyone help with any information on someone who might be willing to help with this.

Hi Tracie,

I assume you are talking about the UK system with the terminology 'year 12' and your daughter studying 3 subjects.

There are two British international schools in Phuket and both are listed on the CIE website as accepting private candidates for CIE Examinations.

www.cie.org.uk/i-want-to/find-a-cambridge-school/

Your daughter should be able to take examinations for AS level at either, though whether this would transfer back to the examination board in the UK I don't know.

Expect fees of up fo 5000B per subject inclusive.

I'm not sure how else you could sit exams here, maybe try the British Council in Bangkok.

Thanks for the information, we are actually from Australia so will have to check if it's the same. I have a list of people (police, pharmacist, librarian, etc) that can supervise, but thought registered teacher was probably the easiest.

Sorry, my advice won't help then, best of luck.
