My wife and I want to stay in Thailand for six months later this year to see if a more permanent stay is for us can anyone tell us what are our visa options are.Thanks

A double entry tourist visa will give you almost 180 days with one border run and two 30 day extensions. A triple will give you almost 270 days with two border runs and three extensions.

If over 50, there are other options.

You possibly could get multiple entry non-o visas that would give you 90 day entries for a year that could be extended for one year for retirement. You probably would need to show some financial proof to get them. If not then a 3 entry tourist visa would give you plenty of time.
