Cambodians smuggled into Thailand for violent attacks: Thai Navy

This is a stunning development. Not only is this man a senior officer in the Thai Navy, but he has provided details as to how the smuggling of mercenaries from Cambodia is happening. He has already tied this to what happened in the red shirt movement in Rathaprason in 2010, and has also clearly destroyed the administration's narrative regarding the Friday grenade attack, as the act of the same group. Not only that, but he clearly implicates the police. How more damning to the administration can this be ? He also poses a very stark question - why haven't the police followed up on any of this ? Of course, he already clearly answered his own question. As have all Thais. Thaksin's road to power has been paved with many unsavory companions. Thaksin and Hun Sen have long been friends and allies. Thaksin was even appointed by Hun Sen after Thaksin fled his conviction, in effect working in an advisory capacity in a foreign administration historically hostile to Thailand. And so Hun Sen would be only too happy to comply with Thaksin's request. And make no mistake, this would be at Thaksin's request, for no other being could possibly extract such a favour. The emergency decree is undoubtedly Thaksin's bidding, as well. The emergency decree has nothing to do with the administration's desire to protect the Thai people - for whom they have shown a consistent apathy to do so. The emergency decree is a desperate act to hold on to power by any means - which means of course Thaksin's need to hold on to power. If it were up to his sister Yingluck, she would have quietly stepped down two weeks ago. So Thaksin - one man, one solitary man - has yet again shown that he is prepared to wreak absolute havoc on the country. And now is also apparently prepared to bring in Cambodian mercenaries to attack and terrorize his own people, at least the people who he deems to be a threat to his quest for power. Cambodia is a country more to Thaksins' liking and bent - they are not so " hung up " on freedom and right to free expression. Those things Hun Sen put a stop to a long, long time ago. Thaksin endeavours to do the same, by the same means.

Excellent post!!

Yes, an excellent silly conspiracy theory given over to hyperbole without any verified proof to substantiate the allegations .In case you two detectives forgot, Hun Sen and Thaksin parted ways some time ago. In a country where disorganization and sloppiness is the order of the day, you actually think Hun Sen and Thaksin would be able to organize this? Seriously? You guys must really believe that Thaksin is the all powerful wizard of wizards. If they had attempted the plot you propose, it most likely would have fallen apart at the first stop when someone was hungry and tried to get some papaya salad.

And in what way exactly is any of this the business of a navy?

Cambodians enter Thailand every day of every year, some by boat, many on foot and many in cars, vans and lorries. So, what's the problem now?

The rear guy is just another stuffed uniform with the imagination of a child, and a liar as well.

Can you prove your accusations - that he is a liar with limited imagination? Or are you prone to defaming anyone who doesn't support the regime?

Or are you just another with a biased non factual opinion?

I think the rear ass's statements speak or themselves, nonsense, lies and an unhealthy imagination. So no further proof needed. Goodbye!

The navy is just trying to draw attention away from it's thugs working for the anti government protesters. They were caught red handed by the police with id's and guns. Could they be the men in black?

whatever proof is given will not be enough for you!

An interesting analogy...and very plausible...

Although I am not sure of YL......being Chinese/Thai, she is very respectful of her elder brother and would likely obey his every command

The Thai Navy said 10 vans carrying Cambodians entered Thailand

Thai Navy Seals carry out drug operations.

Does the Thai navy have any boats?

They've got a people carrier.

Well it was an aircraft carrier but as it doesn't have any aircraft.....

Maybe they could rent it to the Cambodians!

You can count on The Nation to omit the silencers and fake plates. Masters of propaganda.

10 vans filled with Cambodians crossing the border. Must be paid assassins. I for one would appreciate it if the Navy could explain why these SEALS were carrying silencers and driving a car with fake plates instead of spewing baseless conspiracy theories.

Also, lying and saying that the fascists protesters haven't been violent clearly shows their bias, and makes you wonder what the real assignment of those SEALS was.

Aliens from all neighboring Countries illegally enter Thailand all the time.

Maybe the Military has some intelligence about suspected activities, or feels the 10 vans of Cambodians are suspicious and need to be investigated further. Does not mean they are the MIB (Men In Black). Mearly suspects.

It is public knowldge that a certain figure has close ties with Cambodia. And also that this figure and the Military are not necessarily fond of each other.

For now, does not mean there currently is evidence linking any of this to any person or group, or the suspcted MIB.

Only speculation and Rumors for now.

Doubtful that the High ups in th Malitia would lie about the role of a few undercover Navy SEALS to protect them.

If they had acted "Alone" or were supported by the militia covertly, they would have been sacraficd and "thrown under the bus".

Here we go with the Cambodian thing again.....

Im not buying this story at all this is back to the old no ones responsible its not Thais hurting Thais ohhh no of course not. Rubbish this is clearly just propaganda again to lay blame.

How is this helping to calm things ? Another Irresponsible idot

Why not? The link between Thaksin and Cambodians has been proven time and time again. Of course, you can always choose to ignore facts and play stupid like many red shirt supporters do. It's a well know fact that Cambodians smuggled considerable number of arms and weapons to North/Northeast of Thailand. Jakrob Pienkar can enlighten more on that one, a red shirt leader.

It is entirely plausible that the guy was actually Cambodian. After CCTV footage, no one came forward. No family? No friends?

Maybe alleged attackers got weapons from Suthep after his protestors occupied police facilities and stole their weapons? Maybe the military coveryl gave weapons to Suthep because they secretly support Suthep? These are all conspiracy theories without a shred of truth to back any of them up but convenient to get people riled up.

The story might seem like a sci fi to most of the foreigners , but considering the history of violence involved in thai political wars recently it is not an unreasonable suggestion. Mercenary insurgents used worldwide and is nothing new.they are much more convenient then local grown terrorists. Have any of the men in black been captured for questioning? I say the navy commander's theory is as good explanation of the people involved in recent violence as any other.

It's true.

I too saw the ten mini buses of foreign terrorists cross the boarder.

I was sat with the Navy guy who saw them and we were both like huh... ten bus loads of armed cambodians sneaking in... whatever could it mean.

As we were not sure we all thought best to say nothing, best not to follow them to see where they were going, best not to check where they came in if they had passports.

As all well trained Naval personel know, bus loads of terrorists are best left well alone. Unless they become useful to frame somebody or diflect blame.

Two major points regarding the 3 navy men captured earlier that are not explained by their supposed presence on a drug surveillance operation are with regard to the fact that they were also using false number plates and fully silenced weapons.

Silenced weapons are not a prerequisite for a surveillance Op are are normally only issued for covert and clandestine operations This coupled with the latest utter garbage from this Rear Admiral Winai Klom-in regarding grenade throwing and vans of Cambodians is pure manipulative nonsense and a poor attempt to bump and run..

If this is truly the intellect and quality of a Rear Admiral in the Thai Navy, then it would appear that the standards set for both the Thai Police and Navy are comparable and he may well have a good opportunity to apply for a post as a Bangkok traffic cop.

They tried to push water for gods sake.

He says "ten" vans filled with Camobians - A Naval officer claims that he saw them cross the land border in the vans. Let's say a typical van holds 12 or more people. That's 120 Cambodians crossing the border into Thailand to head for Bangkok to disrupt the protests and/or the government of Thailand. This seems like an act of war that the Thai naval officer witnessed.

Then later the same Thai naval officer claims expertise in examining the photos of the grenade thrower and can even identify the type of throw and where he received his throwing training. My lord, put this Thai naval officer in charge of all investigations at once. He is uncanny from his naval post identifying 10 land vans crossing with Cambodians, not Thais who appear Cambodian. The naval office then examined the photos and was able to pinpoint the throwing technique and where the thrower received his training.

This story is mind boggling. How could the supreme commander of Thai military force overlook this naval officer and not put him in charge of all investigations of national security in Thailand?

Ummmm.

Why is the navy at a land border?

Their boats ran aground?;)

Perhaps I can get into the papers as well - "It was the Iranians as a protest about being excluded from the Syria Peace (hah!) Conference. Or perhaps 'It's Gov. Christie trying to divert attention from the Bridge". Or that all-weather resort - Al Qaeda.

You and everybody else have been told what they were doing. That you don't choose to believe the answer and instead make unfounded suggestions (Must be paid assassins - my pimply butt!) is a personal problem that you seem intent on inflicting on other TVF users repeatedly.

BTW have you considered that silencers might be a standard item of SEAL kit? Not a lot of use when you need it and it's back in the barracks.

"I would like to ask what wrong the protesters have done. They have done nothing wrong nor acted violently."

So shooting a policeman and a number of red supporters dead, storming government buildings, police stations, army headquarters, threatening to kidnap the pm and other government officials, blockading major intersections and beating taxi drivers trying to go about their business is all legal and above board in this guys eyes. Guess we know who this guys loyalties are to, and it's not his government, Traitor!,

There were rumours about Cambodians called in by the Dubai bad guy. If that proves to be true he may very well have signed his death sentence. And if it really would be ten vans, then it would mean dozens of Cambodians. The more chance to catch a few. As the police allegiance lies elsewhere, it should be the task of the army.

Rumors, rumors; let's stoke it up some more! Oh, and don't forget to mention the bad guy orchestrating the show!!

One small thing though; I (as a neutral) thinks he lives in Bangkok and not Dubai!!!

If you can't win the vote then create national turmoil; it worked for Adolf!!!!
