i recently met a friend in BKK who used to work in my restaurant in London,

Lovely girl hardworking, always thinking of family.

she went to the UK to finish her masters and stayed on, I had no idea at the time she was an overstayer, she told me now that she had to pay for education and also look after family,

when she left the UK immigration stopped her and took fingerprints, because she over stayed by some years w00t.gif

now she has met an English guy and is married here but wants to go and settle in the UK,

what chance has she got ?

I told her i would ask around see what her options are,

thanks all

This comment will not help your friend but more my point of view. But I would presume as she is hard working, not asking for a council house, not looking to sponge off the government in Uk, & Married to a british citizen all above board.

The black mark will remain & they will make it difficult or not even permit her to enter. I wish her good luck she can gladly have my place in the British citizen list.

I believe the UK uses a system of denying entry for a period of time in case of overstay.

Moved to visa for other countries section for better answers.
