Could I have your views and comments please on a this post

.

I have a UK lady doctor who would like to build and run a Health clinic here in Thailand with Thai staff.

Can she build a clinic here?

Can she practice a a doctor here and work here?

I do not think myself that there are many private health clinics like they have in the UK and Australia. I maybe wrong on this point.

Thanking you all for your input.

Almost every town in Thailand has a health clinic, my guess is that there are more than a thousand in Chiang Mai and everyone is private - perhaps you are talking about a different model that is unclear?

A UK doctor cannot practice here unless certified by the Thai Ministry for health and presumably, in possession of a work permit, I only know of one American doctor practicing in Chiang Mai and he is at the major government hospital.

As above, it is extremely difficult for a foreign doctor to obtain license to practice medicine in Thailand and very, very few ever succeed.

And, there are private clinics galore already, at least in the cities and towns.
