Mrs R and the wee one tonight.... Rob is feeling a bit sad because the wee one goes back south tomorrow. It has been lovely having her here for the holidays.

^^^ SJ....just what type of Burmese religious ceremony was this?!

I've been to Burma many times & am off on the 12th for a 45 day

gig....and I have never seen anything like this in the past. It looks

rather interesting....where in Burma are these folks originally from?

Perhaps I'll persue it further there.....hmmmmm.

oh these guys from all over Burma, they have these gigs a couple of times a year.... usually the Head Burmese monk comes, but not this trip... when he's here, thousands attend... this was only 100's!

This was much less formal than when the "head Monk" comes

They are held on both Koh Phangan and Samui... next time I see them, I will ask more....

July 2012 when the head monk was here... much more formal...

All the bells and whistles and flags come out.... This is he... well spoken and traveled !

Took me a while to work out what this lady was up to wading through the harvested paddy waving a stick and yahooing.

Until I spotted the ducks in the stubble.
