samuijimmy
I attended a Burmese religious ceremony last night, on Samui, here are a few images! There are "C" cups and "D" cups... but this is a dixie cup! A bit too much noise in this, which I cannot seem to edit out ... but I like the look on the babies face... sunshine51
^^^ SJ....just what type of Burmese religious ceremony was this?! I've been to Burma many times & am off on the 12th for a 45 day gig....and I have never seen anything like this in the past. It looks rather interesting....where in Burma are these folks originally from? Perhaps I'll persue it further there.....hmmmmm.

This was much less formal than when the "head Monk" comes They are held on both Koh Phangan and Samui... next time I see them, I will ask more.... July 2012 when the head monk was here... much more formal... All the bells and whistles and flags come out.... This is he... well spoken and traveled ! I do anything for a free dinner! Somewhere I have pics of picking him up on Koh Phangan.... too... I cannot find at the moment!
