ajarnmarc
a " septic tank " is not the same as a few rings in the ground . Learn the difference on Google, and don't ask stupid questions anymore please . The thai who did empty your septic tank ,must have laughed who stupid farang can be . alt=coffee1.gif> Wow you researched Google, and now you consider yourself an expert? What one might consider to be a legitimate question, you claims to be a stupid question. What would classify as a smart question, in your googled mind? I unfortunately can't google, what you mean by- "must have laughed who stupid farang can be"? Doesn't make any sense, and I didn't need google to tell me that.

GinBoy2
Reading this after just going through some tank 'issues'. Most fascinating was the feral cat solution. Just eying up my moggy sleeping peacefully next to me....watch out cat, if times get tough, cheaper than any pumping!
wayned
If the septic tank system is installed correctly you should not have to have the tank pumped but mybe once every 15 years. I bought me house in Bangkok in 11998 and the tank hasn't been pumped yet. Where I live in Nakhon Sawan Provincine in the sticks the rate is 100 baht/hole and they empty it about 250 meters down the road in the cane field! There should however be an inspection hatch to regularly check sediment level and also to check outflow is clear.
