Top Russian Classical Pianist Coming to Pattaya

PATTAYA:--Andrey Gugnin, a prize-winning Russian concert pianist, is coming to perform in the Siam Bayshore Hotel on Saturday 1st March. Gugnin has won many awards, most recently second prize in the International Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna last year.

According to critics, Gugnin has “staggering technical prowess and musical sensitivity.” Another wrote, “his interpretive quality and technical precision were breathtaking”.

Gugnin has played in more than fifteen countries around the world, including Thailand. He was invited to Thailand in 2008 to play with the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra in a tribute to HRH Princess Galayani Vadhana The Bangkok Post described Gugnin’s performance as “nothing short of sensational”.

Gugnin has been invited to Pattaya by Pattaya Classical Music, a group formed to bring classical music performances to Pattaya.

Russian Pianist Arrives in Pattaya

Prize-winning Russian Pianist arrived in Pattaya yesterday from Moscow. He will give concerts in Pattaya starting on March 1st at the Bayview Hotel and then at Eelswamp, in Nongplalai. He will play two solo programs, one all Russian music at the Siam Bayshore and one Beethoven Program.

Andrey won second prize in the prestigious International Beethoven Competition in Vienna last year. He is a world-class virtuoso who travels to all corners of the globe to delight classical music lovers.

His next stop, after Pattaya, is Casablanca, Morocco, where he will play the Tchaikovsky 1st Piano Concerto.

Andrey was invited to Pattaya by Pattaya Classical Music, a group of Pattaya residents dedicated to promoting classical music concerts in Pattaya.

Tickets for the concert on Saturday are available at Siam Bayshore and, subject to availability, will be on sale from 5pm in front of the Parkview Hall at Siam Bayshore Hotel, South Pattaya. Phone: 038 428 678
