If you are a Japanese investor, and the Chairman of the Board of a Japanese company is attacked, would you want to invest more in Thailand. This will not help the Board of Investment attract more foreign investors.

Only in Thailand can a chairman of two powerful companies be also the chairman of the Anti Corruption Agency. I guess Siam Cement Group will never be investigated for corruption then.

suthep's people are carrying all types of firearms, maybe they are doing all this just to get people to believe it is the other side doing it. Remember this is Thailand and suthep did oreder the killing of 90 people three years ago.

Why don't you stop your stupid rants. Or are you paid by the red shirts or Taksin to make them. Or are you just a very ignorant red shirt supporter

I will report this "stupid rant" as blatant trolling. Am sick of these morons trying to ruin an otherwise very good forum.

I don't have a problem with a high profile, successful business man being on ACT. BUT he is a contributor to PDRC while involved in the investigation of corruption in the PTP? Aren't members of ACT required to file public financial disclosures so that any conflict of interest can be identified? This would be called TRANSPARENCY and would be necessary to avoid corruption within the ACT. Are ACT memebers required to file financial disclosures, and if so, what does his statements show? If it is true that he is a PDRC contributor, he should resign immediately as well as anyone else on the committeee for the sake of honesty and trust.

As chairman of the "Anti Corruption of Thailand" he must have a lot of enemies.

Be interesting to see if the PTP and the Shinawatra's openly and unreservedly denounce this and the other cowardly attacks on those who oppose corruption.

I don't see any reason why any govt should openly and unreservedly denounce such an attack as there is no evidence at this stage to point to anything political.

Like you said, as chairman of the ACT, he might have a lot of enemies. As a board member of Toyota and SCG, there is also the possibility that this a a business conflict.

Immediately pointing fingers at either reds or yellows or whatever colour is just nonsensical.

I see every reason why any government should openly and unreservedly denounce any attack of this nature on any of their citizens.

It seems this was an a criminal act, possibly, attempted murder of a Thai person.

You can't see why the police shouldn't conduct a swift and thorough investigation into this?

Wow you really are institutionalised by the shirt of the colour of your choice.

Where did I say that the police shouldn't conduct an investigation?

I said, why should the government make any statement on this particular case and not any other where someone else is shot at? Which govt in the world would openly and unreservedly denounce all attacks of this nature on it's citizens?

I think it is your colour of choice that has blinded you to what's logical and rational.

10,000000 guns and people who think justice. Comes from the barrel of a gun. Why do so called Buddhists. Need this firepower?

It's called compensation. Size only matters to those that don't have it.

Trying reading what you just wrote (always write) you sound like an 'Agony Aunt' from some washed up monthly magazine. It will be them damn soldiers at it again. Nobody gets hurt its all staged, its a sympathy shooting to garner support for the dwindling ranks of the PDRC. Dont fall for it...most of us dont

ARE you joking?

The Crab Lady PM hasn't even acknowledged the bombing or suicides, or made an apology for any of the violence or destruction. Kind of makes one conclude that her tacit acceptance means she approves.

This must be some fringe group trying to stir up trouble. There is no motive at all for anyone linked to the govt to do this. Khun Pramon has a stellar record in his professional life. .

Excellent ground to sue the government. Their minister's preparing hit lists for their red shirt militants to take out.

Why does it have to be red shirts ALL the time. It could be others from sutheps band of thugs also.

Got to be the most pathetic and desperate case of "clutching at straws" I ever did see. cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

To put it in Thai police jargon, it could be anybody, my cat was missing around that time but i won't jump to conclusions yet.

Agreed. Not because he is a UDD supporter but because he states lies as facts which IS a PTP trait.

So the chairman of the Anti-Corruption Commission is also chairman of the board of Toyota Motor Thailand and a board member of Siam Cement Group. And he's tasked with finding conflicts of interest...

Ah yes - the Cement Industry - widely recognised throughout the world as one of the most rottenly corrupt industries!

How many of us know the price of a hitman?

It has said that the gunman (captured) whom hit the red shirt leader in Udon Thani had recieved 8000 bath for the job....

That's right 8-000 bath!!

Now with an army of gunslingers on the streets whom are willing to 'do a job' whenever someone needs them...plus an arsenal of unregistered guns and weaponary in Thailand, nobody is safe as this attack has shown!

Freaking scary!!

I used to blame Suthep and Abhisit for all the political problems that have affected Thailand in recent years, now I realize it has been the cement industry all along. whistling.gif

Why is a bloke who is on the board of companies on the board of a counter corruption committee?

None of his companies EVER been accused of paying one satang under the table anywhere as a facilitation payment? Don't blow him up, but this is absolutely a massive conflict of interest to be sitting on this committee

A conflict of interest is not a crime. It only becomes so when the conflicted person fails to declare such a conflict and recuses themselves from affected decisions.

It's not a "hit list." It's a list of sedition and anarchy sponsors. In any democratic country, a seditionist anarchist group that commandeers public facilities, government offices, and breaches security is arrested immediately and charged. Investors are investigated and arrested on charges of sponsoring and funding sedition.

Who says its a crime. Its just a massive conflict of interest and either he shouldn't have been asked to take the job, or he should have given up his other roles beforehand.

This is not a role for people involved in business and industry. Pure and simple.
