May 27, 200620 yr I have a noisy compressor AND a demand pump directly outside the window of my rented apartment and would like to minimize the noise as much as possible. Anyone know where I can buy suitable noise-deadening panels to cover the window? Edited May 27, 200620 yr by Monkey Fish
May 28, 200620 yr . I see sheets of the grey foam for sale at the Hi Fi Center electronics shop behind Big C, across from World Trade Center, 3rd or 4th floor. Egg shaped pattern and a variety of sizes too. I think Ownes Corning make a fiberglass board that would be good. Ownes Corning #705? A couple layers of drywall and insulation would do it. Could the compressor be mounted on rubber feet to reduce the vibration?

I've seen it on the back of a lorry in Bangkok, so it's available here, but I'm afraid I've no idea where you can buy it. Maybe try one of the local ''DIY'' stores or contact www.rockwool.co.uk. Last time I bought it in the UK it was quite pricey ...
