Low on Lowan

Featured Replies

The very decent brand of Aussie mueslis Lowan has vanished from the grocery shelves of Pattaya. I loved the no sugar version. Is the same sad news true in your city?

Sent from my Lenovo S820_ROW using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

Lowan Original Harvest muesli, very tasty and only 4.3% sugar (and no artificial sweetener) where most other types are a minmum of 17% and some as high as 30%. I used to buy it in Foodland or Emporium, but it has now disappeared. Couldn't get any further than "yut kaay" at information counter at two separate Foodland branches, looks like it's gone forever.

Does anyone have any alternative suggestions?

I also am pretty sure Lowan isn't being sold in Thailand anymore. It's vanished from multiple stores that used to carry the line. It took a while to sell out their stock, but no replacements of any in several weeks. I've noticed a pattern of the few healthier choices being pulled in general.

Lowan ain't as down low as I had concluded.neus.gif

Seeing some Lowan products now, the Apricot and Almond Muesli as pictured, also plain oats, at some markets in Pattaya.

However, no place yet that I've seen has restocked the actual Lowan product that I want -- the LOW SUGAR muesli.

As of yesterday, Gourmet Market in Siam Paragon now have Lowan Natural Harvest Muesli (4.3g sugar per 100g). It's a new batch with a 2015 sell by date. I haven't checked Foodland or Emporium yet. I hope it turns up in your area soon. The importing company is the same as before, so I've no idea why it disappeared, but very glad it's back.
