Thai-Scottish Ranger Resigns After Incident with Racist Tourists
What would he have done if it had of been a Chinese tourist who said it ? After all, I'm (white) and Canadian so it would be natural for me to say "hi" or "hello" or "how are you ?" in English. Would that be racist if I said "Hi, How are you ?" to the same guy ? And you can imagine a Chinese person would likely greet the same person by saying something similar in Mandarin (or Cantonese). Is it then racist for a Thai person to greet me in Thai, knowing full well that I am not Thai ? Or maybe, just maybe, somebody's prescription for their "special cream" ran out that morning and they weren't able to get anymore in time ? -

Thailand Successfully Tests Mobile Emergency Alert System Amid Earthquake Wake-Up Call
Better to focus on the (likely) non operational tsunami warning system . Plus all the white markings they painted on the roads near where I live saying, tsunami evacuation route, have worn off. Don’t think the latter did much good tbh, but if it was part of an overall plan, it’s now gone. An earthquake? Better to focus on building better buildings. Warnings come too late because the quake already happened, and where would you go? -

Why so many conspiracy theorists and what to do about them
classic lefty tactics ............ trying to call others what they are . personal attacks ? you mean pointing out your use of stupid, moron, idiot, nut cases, etc all in ONE post of yours? You and Lacy are classic cases of boys trying to be men by calling names. And then , you love to get into "debates" . Hence i repeat : grow up end of debate . -

Thai-Scottish Ranger Resigns After Incident with Racist Tourists
"Ni Hao" is not a racist slur from any angle. Many Thais and Chinese look alike and if an Italian mistakes a Thai for Chinese, it is no big deal! -

Driving around Cambodia
I have a very good friend who was born in Cambodia, and lives there, too. I will ask her about driving around Cambodia. Most people in Cambodia are not wealthy. But, I think, by this time, she probably has a car.
