Buying scooter in Pai

Featured Replies

I just arrived in Pai to stay for at least 2 months and i am thinking of buying a scooter.

That way i will not have the worries of damaging a rental. And i am thinking i can sell it again for a little less than i bought it for so it will also save me heaps of rental money.

What is the best way in Pai to find a scooter to buy (second hand)? Does anyone have experience with this?

Heaps of rental money, really? You can rent a bike for 2k a month in Chiang Mai and then ride it to Pai. By the time you've found a bike to buy then the time it takes to sell it. Just for two months? Let it go son. Invest that 'heaps' of 4,000 baht.

Aya in Pai rent 2k a month new honda dream don't buy if only for two month. Nobody will charge you unless something is really broken and even if spare parts at the local honda dealer are cheap and most broken parts cost just a couple of hundred bht. If you sell a new bike after two month you lost at least 6k not a good idea and Aya is ok

Years ago I rented a bike and stayed a few months in Pai, Have not thought about that in a long time. Bike rentals are dirt cheap. Just check around.
