smileydude
So for the rapist its 12 + 10 + 7 years? Is that with no chance of parole or amnesty? Nice to see some justice laid out but the Thai correctional system is overcrowded with petty criminals who should have been fined heavily instead of being jailed while many rapists are let out for good behavior or because of connections. I doubt a policeman of this ranking will remain behind bars the entire length of his sentence. There's something about that smirk and unrepentant look that says he has other plans. How about hormonal treatment or castration to control his behavior to ensure no repeat? I'm sure that baby face could benefit from some increased smoothness via less testosterone. chainarong
The dereliction of duty still continues with the in-action of the police in the protest ridden BKK, daily there are incidences that are occurring and the police seem to be on another planet as to why rocket propelled grenades, M16 fire power, being used are coming from, there seems a complete lack of moral leadership at the top, they know but wont act , that sends a bad image to the public because they know also , Thai police have never been a strong leadership example to show your children, unless you want them working in corruption, then again , you can join the PTP. atsiii
Am I reading this right? The original offence against the couple was in 2007, and while this offence is ostensibly still being investigated 5 years later, the same guy is still working in uniform and kidnaps and rapes another woman? Can this really be true?

Brevity
Does anybody really believe he will spend any time in jail? I have to say that in the picture he looks pretty composed and unconcerned about whole thing. This is probably just more of an inconvenience for him. He could walk in the front door and out the back the same day but will have to lay low and be discrete for a while in another province. His buddies should have put him on a plane to Singapore, where he could get a touch of the sniffles and stay there indefinitely. Or maybe it takes some big Red Bull money to pull that one off.
