What are the current requirements (documents) needed for getting a single entry re-entry stamp? I got one about a year ago but forgot what copies were required.

A completed TM8 form with attached photo. Copies of passport photo page, visa, entry or extension stamp and TM6 departure card.

Those that do not leave the country have extensions of stay obtained from immigration and a multiple re-entry permit.

You have a visa issued by an embassy or consulate that only allows you to get multiple 90 day entries for a year.

You can get an extension of stay based upon retirement if you have 800K baht in a Thai bank for 60 days or 65K baht income or a combination of the two totaling 800k baht. You could do the extension during the last 30 day of any of your 90 entries.

Sorry to hear about your wife.

Unless you plan on living here long term the multiple entry might be best. If you need to stay longer than the 90 day entry you can get a 60 day extension at immigration to visit your wife.

After that you can try to get an extension based on taking care of your wife in hospital. If your wife is too sick to travel to immigraiton, they might offer this extension right away. Will need confirming letter from the hospital.

The retirement extension will be the easiest.

Be very wary of buying off plan. Do lot's of research about the company. There are many stories on here about this subject. Just do a search.

Not all developers are bad, but there are plenty of bad apples.
