same paperwork as you bought it with

Passport and cash. I've read some reports that residency cert. is required.

Who pays for ownership transfer and how is this document obtained? Is it the seller's responsibility to obtain said document? Thank you.

As seller you will also need to sign power of attorney and bill of sale, available at any car or mc shop. A signed copy of residency or wp.

When you wrote "residency," what do you mean? A copy of my apartment lease or a residency certificate from immigration? Thank you.

I read on another forum:

To sell your bike you need

Green book.......signed in the correct space

Residency certificate.....

Signed Transfer form.......it is obtained from DLT office (next to Regents school on Highway 36)

Power of attorney form........it is obtained from DLT office

Passport copies.......signed

Transfer fee is approx 400 baht for a 125cc scooter, prices go up according to engine size

Buyer also needs residency certificate and signed passport copies if farang or ID copy if Thai.

One thing to watch out for is if the bike is registered in another province this will cause additional work for the buyer.... if the bike has Chonburi registration plate then the name change can be done at Regents DLT relatively easily.
