Hi - I appreciate there are lots of los passport entries, but this is specifically about the One Stop visa and Work Permit office at Chamchuri Square and replacing my re-entry permit there.

I lost my British passport and am currently waiting for a new one to be sent to Thailand. I work here and have a re-entry and work permit for Thailand which was obtained from the Chamchuri Square One Stop Visa and Work permit office. (not the Immigration Bureau).

When my new passport arrives how do I get the new re-entry permit into my new passport:

I have my work permit, a photocopy of my re-entry permit in the lost passport, a photocopy of the lost passport, a police report from Lumphini Police Station and will have the new passport (fingers crossed) in a few weeks.

1. Anyone had any experience of doing this at the Chamchuri Work Permit and Visa office?
2. Do I need anything else to take to get a new re-entry permit?
3. do I need to fill in any kind of form or can I just go to the Visa office in Chamchuri?
4. Do I need my new passport certified by the British Embassy?

Appreciate lost passport questions come up a lot – but specifically trying to understand anyone who knows how this would work at the Chamchuri office.

The procedure would be no different in this case than at any immigration office.

You would fill out a Lost or Stolen Passport Form and attach a copy of your new passport, police report for lost passport and the copies of your old passport you have.

They will reinstate you current permit to stay and possibly stamp your existing re-entry permit in your new passport.

I suspect that they will not ask for the letter from the embassy since Bangkok immigration has been reported as not asking for it.
