webfact
CMPO's Chalerm does not fret over the court’s protection of Satish SehgalBANGKOK, 17 Mar 2014 (NNT) -- Director of the Center for Maintaining Peace and Order Chalerm Yubumrung does not fret over the Civil Court’s decision to grant a temporary protection for Mr. Satish Sehgal, a supporter of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC).According to Labor Minister Chalerm, his approval for the deportation of the Indian-born-businessman-turned-political-activist is legal and does not violate the court’s order. He affirmed the CMPO would comply with the court’s ruling while commenting that the PDRC’s claim that his approval on the deportation is in violation of the court’s verdict was simply a case of misunderstanding.Minister Chalerm explained that the PDRC was under the impression that he was using the Section 11 Clause 8 of the law to authorize the deportation which would breach the Charter Court’s earlier ruling that limited the CMPO’s authority during the duration of the Emergency Decree. Minister Chalerm continued that he was, in fact, invoking Section 7 which directly deals with immigrants’ legality for staying in Thailand.Meanwhile, the CMPO director said that he would not attend the Election Commission’s meeting to scrutinize the center’s budget, claiming that he was not the one responsible for the budget’s disbursement. -- NNT 2014-03-

NongKhaiKid
Given Chalerm's usual state of being ' socially confused ' he probably can't remember who Satish is.

Popular Post Scamper
" Meanwhile, the CMPO director said that he would not attend the Election Commission’s meeting to scrutinize the center’s budget, claiming that he was not the one responsible for the budget’s disbursement. " So Chalerm requests 2.3 billion baht but will not acquiesce to the EC's natural request for him to provide details. Then why make the request in the first place ? Does he not pose as the head of CMPO ? Who is responsible for the budget's disbursement ? Will he let us know, or are we now supposed to guess ? What happens to his request now ? You see - in Chalerm's world - he is never asked to explain anything. He just says what he wants. And he's had it with this " accountability " shtick . Simple, Chalerm should either delegate someone to present the case to the EC, or the EC should simply disallow the request. If Pheu Thai can't find it in them to match a billion baht proposal with a detailed disbursement blueprint, then why should the EC bother ? Yingluck and now Chalerm are refusing to report to independent oversight agencies. The act is seemingly beneath them. But truly, for both, there is something else at play. They simply wouldn't know what to say.

It's not just Costas blowing his whistle. Can you explain why Chalerm can ask for 2.3 Billion and then say that he is not willing (as Director of CMPO) to explain what the money is needed for. Is that considered normal acceptable practice by you in your version of democracy?

I'm pretty sure that he knows who Satish is....and although he may not be responsible for disbursements....I'm also sure he has been well catered for...!
Popular Post antimedia
Stand honoured Reds, stand as one and then all fall together. This sot, his puppet boss Yingluck, the lying Kittarat and airhead Surapong to name a few are something to be proud of as leaders of your beloved plastic government. What a joke and befre you start thumping your key boards, I am no fan of Suthep, but he is a means to an end, the of your disparated crew of untrained and uncontrollable primates.

Robby nz
A couple of words in the headline seem out of place. Fret, well I would imagine in his tantrum he could well have spilt his drink. Protection, hardly protecting, what the court is saying is that Chalerm's actions were illegal in pushing for Satish's deportation. This PT lot are slow learners when it comes to working out they are not above the law.

Dear K. Chalerm You know that you are the Director of the CMPO, right? That means you Big Boss in CMPO. Big Boss tells people what to do. People get paid for following Big Boss's orders. This means Big Boss decides how money spent. You remember you ask for 2.3 billion for holiday fund cost of running CMPO, yeah? This mean you responsible for money.... You plan how Centre runs... In short, suck it up, big boy. You want a position of authority, then grow a pair and accept that you are responsible for the CMPO. RESPONSIBILITY....you'll find it a a dic Aaaah...Never mind

Is there anybody, in this current administration, responsible for anything? Oh yes! a number of the current administration hold the responsibility for that is better known as creaming - that means skimming the top 10 maybe 20% for yourself and your hanger on's. It's all above board, the fugitive and the clone have fully endorsed the practice although there is nothing in writing and no one attended any meetings to make these decisions.

If Chalerm is denying responsibility for the Budget, you would think that at least he would read the sumission and its contents and ask a few questions.. This request should immediately be dismissed as should he.
