Walking through Phantip today, I discovered that Advice seemingly has a great deal on two Alcatel cell phones. If you buy the five-inch phone for 4,999, they will give you a 3.5 inch Alcatel phone for free. They didn't have any display models but they showed me the boxes. They are both quad-core two-SIM models. You can probably find the specs on their website www.advice.co.th. If you calculate that 4,999 is $167, that would make the phones about $88 each. For someone wanting to buy a new phone and get one for the wife/GF, this would be a good deal. The models are the Alcatel POP C7 (large one) and the Alcatel POP C1.

One of the big IT websites; maybe C-NET or Computer World had a list of the 5 best and 5 worst phones of the past year. Two or three of the 5 worst were ALCATEL's.

GOOGLE "5 Worst Phones" and you'll probably find it.

They are crap, I had one once, never again.
