I used to visit Jomtien beach very often 10 years ago and remember getting many foot massage.

Today I asked the price

500 baht the lady wanted!

It's only 250 in a proper massage shop!

Why should it be double?

I know that they give 20 baht to the deck chair owner or maybe that's gone up to 40

They're are people working for 400 per day on build sites and this lady wants 500 for about 45 mins

Does anyone know what the real price should be for a beach foot massage?

I don't like foot massage but if I were you I wouldn't try to pay 250 to someone demanding 500.

If they do accept it, they will be angry and you are not likely to get the best service.

That's a hard one.

I pay 200 baht for 2 hours of good massage in Khon Kaen. I'd pay 200 baht for 1 hour on a beach.

500 baht sounds a bit steep, i would of thought about 200 baht, maybe max 250 ....

I find this story very hard to believe. I live in Jomtien and must see more than a dozen shops on the streets near Jomtien complex. .

Almost all charge 200 Baht. Rarely 150.

500 Baht might be for some specialized massage such as thai herbal.

Certainly a 500bt foot massage includes the third leg, no?

HaHa Jing, That reminds me from years ago, going in the Toilets of Excite Disco and a Thai guy trying to give me a shoulder massage as I was trying to take a pis*....

As for the snake thing Jing, your not scared of them are you....
