Yingluck calls on NACC to treat her like other politicians

Yes, I met some real people up there in the Chiang Mai area.

And the real facts are that the farmers in the North and the Northeast are too politically wise to allow the feudal Bangkok elites to manipulate them against the government. And this solidarity, which is a hallmark of the population's political maturation, will be demonstrated in the next election. However, that's if the Election Commission can be maneuvered away from its chronic opposition to elections to instead see the light to do its job by scheduling the next election.

The posts you people have been throwing around about these particular farmers the past several days have changed nothing here or there. Your flurry of posts on the topic have instead called attention to your flailing after any tiny bit of support you wish you might be able to scare up in the hopeless cause of getting the people to support Suthep and his oligarch appointed "People's Council" of feudal autocrats..

Apart from the red mob, I do NOT see flocks of people rushing to the aid of this failed government, every week your numbers are vanishing fast. Ordinary rural Thai many that cannot read or buy newspapers, used to have to get knowledge off the governed TV. Now their kids are informing them of reality and the networks are unable to stifle all outlets. The university-high schools-kids working in cities are being fed with the real truth behind this terrible governments pillaging.

You at this rate will not have anyone to vote for, courts are following the money, who will you support after this????

Full of crap as ever. 'The real facts' are that the Please Taksin party has acted disgracefully and now karma is bringing their punishment for their crimes. It is not any kind of 'coup' as you like to keep banging on about, it is democracy and justice at work, it is the checks and balances that make up some of the other facets of democracy that PT don't 'recognize' because they are inconvenient.

The EC is not opposed to elections, they are opposed to the non democratic ways of the Taksin lovers. They realize the true situation here independent of the constant streams of bs that comes from the PT side. They know elections under the current corrupt bunch of crooks working for Taksin will solve nothing. They understand that reforms must come first for the betterment of the country. But Taksin and co. do not want any reforms as it would mean they can't get away with murder as they have been trying to do for the last 10 years.

Keep up the pressure Suteb and co., force these fools out and start the reform process so that we may one day get some politicians who actually care about the country and not just themselves...

People are USUALLY pro government if it is doing the job it was elected to do, otherwise you kick up a stink, if they do not u turn people then become anti government.

Honestly you handful of pro government supporters must have lost your way in life to support a totally failed regime. Forget the opposition, they have sod all to do with the pillaging.

Forget the guy you hate for bringing this problem to a head. Your government brought shame / mistrust, it has to get out prolonging it is hurting Thailand more and because Thaksin is losing fast he now wants his revenge against the Thai people he said he loves. B/S

Marvelous.

Gee ginjag. How CAN you argue with someone who has an absolute corner on all the facts. Why, he knows people! You really should be more impressed. It's for us just to genuflect and back away reverently, having basked if only for a moment in the light of his ineffable wisdom (you know, that light the EC apparently doesn't see...). And whatever you do, DON'T flail (OR "flurry") !! cheesy.gif I just hope TS appreciates these efforts to distract the growing masses with diatribes about Suthep. It's old material, and kind of used up, but really all they have to work with. How would YOU like to have to constantly tap dance over things like that amnesty bill, the rice-pledging debaclescheme, a PM channeling her convict fugitive brother, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.?

Ummm yingluck, they already gave you a 30 day extension...its expired now and youre still asking for more.

just like a spoiled brat, that ask so easily to be given things on demand.

go ahead and cry when you dont get your way.

Suthep has been charged with many counts of murder and other charges of an equally serious nature, however he tells the police and whoever else wants to know that he's too busy organizing and leading protests to bring about the downfall of the democratically elected government, and the institutions say thats ok, whenever ur ready Mr Suthep. How many days have the leaders of the airport closure incidents in 2008 been given???

The paymaster has around 15 serious charges outstanding, and it's ben said numerous times that on many of these charges there is substantial evidence. Perhaps everything should stop until he faces up.

On the other hand perhaps charges against all other people should be shelved until the paymasters charges are finalized.

Yingluck is a woman on a mission. She is on a mission to discredit the NACC. She is on a mission to stir up hatred among her UDD supporters for the NACC, and she does this fully conscious of all the grenade attacks that have targeted the NACC. It's unconscionable. For a woman who doesn't like to show up to anything, she does a pretty good job of being obnoxious in the face of facts in front of the media. For the hundredth time, the NACC did not take 21 days to charge her. How is the world has Pheu Thai invented this narrative and when will they ever let it go ? The NACC investigation began in December 2012. It has been a fifteen month investigation. She was warned that if she didn't show up a month ago that she would forfeit the full documentation. She was warned repeatedly. She knows that. Her lawyers know that. Guess what ? She didn't show up. What did the NACC do ? The NACC later bent their own rules and gave her the documents. And then in fact further supplemented those. She has been given ample opportunity to address the NACC. She has refused. In fact, she has spent her time admonishing the constitutionally empowered agency through the media every chance she's had. With all the grenade attacks on the NACC, what she is doing is unconscionable and provocative. Either she or her lawyers address the charges on Monday or it is assumed she accepts the findings. Period. It's time for Yingluck to act like the caretaker prime minister she claims to be and not to side and commiserate with those who wish to undermine the legal checks and balances of the independent agencies.

"it was on January 16 that the NACC decided to conduct an inquiry on the PM. No doubt the inquiry would use the information previously gathered, but it skipped the sub-committee and it was not until January 16 that inquiry turned to Yingluck."

"It wasn’t until January that the NACC found enough evidence to against Boonsong and others. It is not as if they provided all of this information on the allegations of corruption to Yingluck in the warnings. You may ask, how do you know this BP? Well you can see, even after January 16, they are not even providing this information to her let alone before. Veera thinks it is unnecessary to know all this information. This is the problem with the warnings. There was not enough evidence at the time of the warnings to take action against Boonsong. It was only in January 2014 that the NACC found sufficient evidence to proceed with the case – we are not talking about a prosecution let alone a conviction. If you are going to argue that Yingluck was negligent in her duty, if it was so obvious at the time of the warnings, why had not sufficient evidence been found against Boonsong and others then? If it took an investigative agency with powers of investigation until January, how was Yingluck meant to be able to establish anything before this?"
