PATTAYA:--On Wednesday Police Major General Katcha, the Provincial Police Commander led a press conference at Nongprue Police Station to announce the arrest of three suspected burglars in two unrelated cases, one of which involved a Russian resident of Pattaya.

The General began by announcing the arrest of Khun Chaimongkol aged 23 who was arrested in Rayong Province after an armed burglary which took place at the Raviporn Village 1 off Soi Kao Noi in East Pattaya. At the time, Miss Tatiana Ostapchuk aged 35 was inside and was confronted by the armed suspect who is alleged to have stolen an IPad, IPhone and two digital cameras with a combined value of over 100,000 Baht.

Thanks to the suspect leaving the IPhone powered-up, Police were able to track the GPS signal from the device to a house in Rayong Province where the suspect was arrested. He has been charged with illegal use of a firearm and theft.
