Surapong warns of possible violence if court rules against Yingluck

Another fine picture of the leadership attributes of the current Government.

The Sympathy seeking Poo and her enterage of Brown Nosers doing everything except taking care of the serious problems currently facing the Country.

Several weeks in a wheelchair for a sprained ankle is pushing the envelope of recovery quite a bit. passifier.gif

Maybe she should be in a Hospital bed Recovering instead of out galavanting around doing those necessary tasks of checking on Fish Tanks etc with all those Brown Nosing Boyz from the Government who need to be seen with Poo ? emot-kiss.giflicklips.gif

'In a related development, the pro-government People's Radios for Democracy has announced that it will hold a rally across Bangkok and surrounding provinces today to "create a good public understanding" about the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). The red-shirt group has tried to disrupt the work of the NACC, which is investigating a case against the premier.'

Ah... Ko Tee is popping his head up again.

He wants to make sure it doesn't get shot off this time.

The guy must be mentally retarded or something, not to realize he is public enemy number one and his days are seriously numbered.

He who lives by the sword.

And once again, no condemnation of the manical Ko Tee's by other Red Shirts nor by PTP.

Altogether unsurprising as Surapong and Paradorn are too busy making their own threats of violence.

You people not only are asking for it and inviting it to happen, you're encouraging it and drooling over the prospect. The American Revolution occurred precisely because of this kind of stuff from another colonizer government. Those who advocate a military mutiny coup d'état and talk about the army killing other Thais have to stand down. That means you.

"you people"... :blink::huh:

Expressing a desire for the government and supposed non-violent Reds to admonish those Reds spouting violent rhetoric is somehow indicative of someone promoting violence themselves???

The American revolution has absolutely nothing in common with Thailand's situation and is a most bizarre comparison....

No where in my post do I advocate a coup...

No where in my post do I advocate the Army killing other Thais....

Those with bizarre, disconnected posts have to stand down. That means you.

Is she claiming for whiplash on her insurance?

i thought she needed more time to prepare her defence! Seems that she did a quick job then! Glad that everything is running smoothly, and she can now have a great time seeing fishes, and certainly an OTOP thing to attend these coming days!

The army warns of dead red shirts if they choose to start violence....

Killing is not a nice business yet there are a group of mindless fanatics in red shirts willing to do itt just to serve a convicted crimmanal living in another country to avoid his justly deserved penalty.

As long as they insist on starting it again let us hope the army gets the hired in the country ring leaders this time and wipe them all out. A much better choice than the brainless fools who follow them.

Well said; live by the sword, die by the sword.

They can't escape karma forever, despite tuning out the lessons the monks teach them every week.

a threat rather than a warning!

Not a threat, just a warning the redshirts will start fighting, whatever.

Democracy, UDD-style

Mr T, of course is very nearby, getting ready to exploit unrest for his personal gains.

For one second, i thought you were going to write that Thaksin was near by, getting ready to come and help his supporters to fight as soon as a gun shot has been heard......

But we all know how brave this guy is. He will more likely be busy shopping somewhere in the a giant mall, while his paid "admirers" are going to roast under the sun for 500 Baht minus PooYai baan fee

The wheel chair is back - time for more sympathy. Cousin number one will be writing to the UN and all major countries asking how they can remain silent whilst his poor wheel chair bound leader is so horribly and unfairly treated. Even is she has acted illegally, and refuses to talk about passports, they should go easy on her, let her off. For the good of the country. All honest mistakes and her ankle is very painful until the next miraculous recovery.

You are right of course. She complains of not being given enough time. Then instead of beavering tirelessly with her astute legal team she wander around on trips. Taking the piss is the expression. She couldn't care less, thinking that nothing will happen to her because her big brother's private militia are ready to protect her. All a game of monopoly - and they collect a lot more than $200 each time they pass go! Out enjoying herself - couldn't give a toss about the farmers or the lies she told them about payments. That was yesterday's problem.

Interesting how her bandage wrapped ankle has now become a moon boot. I suppose her managers made that call.

Of course no one can control the red militia. And they ARE fighters of democracy. Just imagine if another independent agency, put in place to ensure democratic processes, would dare rule against her.

kinda like the freedom fighters?

those who hide behind noble names tend to be the bad guys. red militia... lol. you mean hired foreigners? a fool with a sniper is still a fool.

That's as good as an unveiled threat. So now it's damned if you do, damned if you don't. If court rules against Poo, reds will rise. With violence. If court acquits Poo, anti-govt. protestors will rise. Can't say without violence, at this juncture. Well, you lot go ahead then, make it quick please. And leave innocent kids out of it.

She vowed to die on the field of democracy, and here it is happening in front of her eyes and it now seems she doesn't like it.

So Surapong and Chalerm are now admitting that the red shirts are actually against democracy, because all I now see is true democracy in action for the first time in Thailand.

You break the laws of constitutional democracy and you pay the price.

You die on its field.

This is correct. She knew the possible consequences of the reshuffle because it was widely discussed at the time, same as Samak knew the possible outcome of insisting to continue with his cooking show as PM because that was also speculated on at the time he was elected PM. Both of them decided that they would do it anyway. Now she has to accept the consequences. It doesn't matter whether the rule seems trivial or not. The point is that the rule and the punishment was well publicised beforehand and it would have been very easy for both to avoid getting nailed like that, if they had not been so damned arrogant.

I wonder who can be trusted with the hiring and tasking of the hard core mercenaries that do jobs like the Trat market attack. With work of such an important and sensitive nature many assume that it is restricted to family members such as Suraphong, Daeng and perhaps trusted outsiders like Chalerm who can be sacrificed as a fall guy, if necessary. So Suraphong and Chalerm are both poachers and gamekeepers.

Would love to see Poo jumping out of the wheel chair, throwing away the iron boot and legging it in the face of an approaching tsunami.

She sprained her ankle about 3 weeks ago and should be completely recovered by now but looks as if she has a withered foot or polio. What a pathetic shamstress!

Oh do grow up! Stop pretending you're George Washington and that most Westerners are closet fascists as you did on another post.

Reality - the current caretaker government have lied, cheated, acted illegally and refuse any form of questioning, transparency or auditing. They openly cavort with a convicted criminal fugitive and have tried to sneak through legislation that would absolve him of any wrong doing. They refuse to abide by court verdicts they don't like, shuffle their cabinet like a deck of cards, accept in people who have been convicted of fraud and seem to have increased their own wealth considerably whilst in office, whilst vast number of poor farmers are facing ruin as they appear to have "lost" billions and can't pay them as regularly promised.

Those who advocate allowing a group like this to continue throttling the country and steering it towards their own idea of a family dictator ship need to stand down. That mean you.

Your romanticized comparison the American War of Independence is a joke. Do you, for one minute believe that Thaksin, his PTP cabinet and his appointed UDD leaders are comparable to the founding fathers of the USA? Do you really think the old money elite are comparable to a foreign "colonizer' government? (Thaksin and clan are Chinese just like them). This is about one gang that has tried to seize all the spoils for themselves and that are so greedy they may kill the cash cow versus the old established gangs who want to preserve their positions as feudal lords and privileged position.

It's a shame the Thai people don't have some people of vision, integrity, honesty, and self sacrifice like those that signed the declaration of independence and went on to establish a nation that has given the world so much. But to suggest Thaksin, Yingluck and their various relatives, in-laws, cronies and gang are in this league is just to ludicrous for words.

These hints and threats of violence from Surapong, Jatuporn and Chalerm are just demonstrations of what a nasty but ruthless little gang they are.

Things are dragging themselves out so blowing off steam is understandable and even acceptable but a rant contributes little if anything to a restoration of calm or peace. The fact is the democratic governments of the world continue to stand by the legitimately elected government of the Kingdom. This always has been the albatross of the ammart and their established institutions to include the military and its direct legacy, the immediacy of the illegitimate 2007 constitution,

My analogy to the American revolution does not invite hasty or off the wall conclusions. I referred to the Powers That Were of the time and to their arrogant attitudes and arbitrary behaviors as precipitating the revolution, not to the revolutionaries themselves. A discussion of the revolutionaries that founded the United States of America is another discussion, far away and apart from Thaksin, the Thai Rak Thai organization or its successor councils or bodies.

Inflexible and arrogant ruling elites have throughout history precipitated their own demise due to their own zero-sum resistance to socio-economic and political change that has occurred under their feet and right before their own eyes to see. Your post speaks to one of the country's glaring problems, as have mine and those of others, that Thailand has no Gandhi or Aung San Suu Kyi, no Nelson Mandela - one could point to so many other leaders of distinction that have merited our recognition and respect. So instead Thailand reduces itself to a head to head clash of Suthep et al versus Thaksin et al, which is a losing proposition if there ever was one.

Before Suthep, but with also with him, was Abhisit, who remains an ugly duckling in the ugly picture. Before them were Sondhi and Suwit, almost simultaneous to Gen Sonthi. Yet only Suthep among them has gained some greater notoriety, namely stealing the vote of Asia Person of the Year in 2013 from Malia.

The Land of Smiles was always a concocted illusion.

Talking about moon boots ......... - why is Michael Jackson (behind her) not wearing his white glove?

"pathetic expression of envy" ?

May I suggest you look up delusion? Furthermore luckily I know enough Americans not to hold you as a prime example of one of them.

Seconded.

I'm afraid that Publicus just cannot discuss politics without bringing the irrelevant (in the context of Thai politics) USA into the mix. The inherent superiority complex rather diminishes any logical argument.

This is not an anti-American rant. There are numerous Americans posting sensible arguments without having to try to deflect the Op's report as is often the case with red shirt acolytes.

Surapong is a prime example of why dynasties and real democracy are the opposite of one another.
