doontp
A police clearance letter and a medical exam is required for a US CR-1\IR-1 Immigrant visa. How long is the letter and exam report valid for? 30 days? 3 months? 6 months? I'm wondering if I can get the letter and medical exam done on the same day I submitt the I-130 at USCIS, since I'll already be in Bangkok. Would doing this be too early? I'll be going the DCF route. doontp
I got the answer to my first question. Police Clearance Certificate is valid for 6 months. Medical Exam Report is valid for 1 year. Still waiting for an answer on the latter question. I read that my wife needs to bring a letter from the US Embassy with her to the Police Headquarters. Are they firm on this? I also read that she'll need to bring a letter from the US Embassy with her when she has the medical exam done. Are they firm on this? The letter will be in Packet 3.
