Been sitting at Nk immigration since 8am waiting for them to open.. 8.45 no staff. No sign on doors. Nothing. Then the cleaner ( I think) came and told us closed today open tomorrow .. great..TIT

There is no sign telling people. Crazy.. anyway today Monday 7th April the immigration at Wat rai king. Nakhon Pathom is closed.

Of course it is closed, just like all of the others. Today is the substitution day for the Chakri Day Holiday, which was yesterday, Sunday, Apr. 6.

I now know that!

I along with the other 5-6 people waiting DIDN'T know before and there is NO signage on the door to say closed. Hence the post.

Not everyone keeps up with the Thai holidays. I and my wife are working today so I didn't know!

You expect this, OK.

How is that in your home country?

Sign on the door of public offices stating "today is a holiday"?

Well yes, its one of "these" holidays meaning nothing to ordinary people.

Business as usual for the villagers.

Generally yes. Also if it was a true "public " holiday. We wouldn't be working. Would we!

Anyway MODS please delete this thread as it seems of no use to anyone and just using up band space. Thanks

And I even forget the point.

The holiday as such was yesterday (Sun, 6th).

Today is only the substitution day tongue.png

Wish I had that in my home country!
