I respect and understand your point, however I disagree with your reason. I see many Asians / Thai's that demonstrate the same type behavior. And what about the original meaning of i.e., Easter, Christmas, and other holidays... I don't think it's isolated to Thailand/ Songkran is what I'm trying to say.
