Moving Company--Southern Thailand

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a moving company that operates in Southern Thailand--specifically Songkhla/Trang/Nakhon Sri Thammarat? Most of the places I've found online operate out of Bangkok.

Thanks!

That's a difficult one. Most foreigners I know who have moved ended up renting a 7 tonne truck or pick up truck with driver after failing in their search for a moving company.

Phuket most probably has one but I've never seen or heard of one in a city as big as Hat Yai.

I'll ask my wife's family as I will see them tomorrow and PM you if (a big if) they know of one.

When I moved stuff up from Songkhla to Koh Phangan a number of years ago, I ended up using a "banana pickup truck" with high sides,.... That worked! Depends on how much stuff you have!

The word you need to use here for a larger truck is the English word, "Lorry", .... when asking around.... then they will understand what you want (hopefully!) Saying "big truck" never got through! wink.png

Depends on the quality of service you want. All international movers are in Bangkok and there are none elsewhere as the packers travel upcountry from Bangkok when needed. You might find a local transport company but the quality won't be there.
