..::LegalAlien::..
A German court has rejected a claim from an unemployed man who wanted the state to provide him with pornographic material and free visits to a brothel. The 35-year-old man took his local authority to court after the foreign ministry refused to pay an airfare for his Thai wife to travel to Germany. He argued that they should compensate him for his lack of sex. But the court in the southern town of Ansbach said such activities should be paid out of his welfare benefits. A court spokesman said the man was planning to appeal. Unfulfilled needs The unnamed man argued that, as his wife lived in Thailand, the local authority had to compensate him for his "considerable sexual needs". The 2,500-euro claim (£1,700, $3,050) a month was to fund weekly brothel trips, eight pornographic videos and transport costs to and from a video store. "I require the brothel visits for my physical and psychological wellbeing," the man said in his application. But the court said social security benefits already covered "everyday requirements". george
Monkey house follow up: German man jailed over sex payment request The German man who wanted the country's social security to pay for his brothel visits and adult videos has been jailed for making "improper demands" from state officials. A court in Weissenburg sentenced the unemployed man, named only as Helmut H, to six months behind bars. The 43-year-old jobless mechanic took local authorities to court after they refused to pay £1,650 in bills for sexual services. At the time Helmut H. said: "My wife Nitaya, 28, is from Thailand. She flew back to give birth to our son, Markus Guenther, but cannot afford the flight back as the unemployment benefit I receive is not enough to cover the cost of the return flight - and I am being sexually deprived. "I would never cheat on my wife, but brothels are merely about satisfying lust. I prefer 18 to 20-year-olds and like to experiment." After the ruling, the man kept up his demands and has now been jailed for being a nuisance and for insulting behaviour to government officials. --Agencies 2004-03-
Richard Hall
Hey, who joins me for a little prayer that they either lose the key for his cell and/or that "Nut's" money will never be enough to make it here to Thailand. Appears like the weirdos have even grown wilder there in the four years I have forunately not been to Germany. Thank God, that at least the judges still show brain. Looks like the juristic system in the States picks up as well and is going to put a stop on the fatsos trying to blame the cook for their own personal failures. Ain't all those stories be the answer to the other thread's question "why are you additcted to Thailand?". The rules of survival are much tougher in LOS indeed but still much more natural not leaving much time to absolutely craze out and trying to abuse the social over pampering priviledges of the "developed" world. Thailand (or better say Bangkok) appears to be kind of messed up and drowning in chaos but eventually gives us much more freedom than we can expect anywhere else in the world. This and the strong influence of Buddhism preaching tolerance makes it possible that the "devil" and the "angel" can sit here down together for a beer and chat. Despite all the bureaucratic hassles and quite a bunch of grey hair: "Thank you Thailand - land of the free". The sum of LOS AND TIT makes you indeed unique and so unexplainable enjoyable. Chaiyo!
