I have posted the info already but not sure it was at the right place. Anyways, I thought it was quite challenging to find a school in Thailand -that is for your family or as a teacher. So I decided to create this new website to help families and teachers find the right school in Thailand. The website is http://www.sataban.com and has about 750 schools in its database for the moment (there should be more soon). Since it is a new website there are no reviews nor comments about any schools and you are welcome to leave some: hopefully this will help a lots of expats (families and teachers).

Please do not make name and shame comments in the open forum. If you want to pass on negative information please use the PM function.

Hi Scott, thank you for your comment. I am not sure this message is for me but what is the PM function?

To send a PM (Private Message) go to the profile page of the user. To get to the profile page, click on their username or avatar and it will take you to their page. There is a little icon, I believe it is on the right side, which says "send me a message". Press on the icon and you can write a message to the person. If you receive a PM, there will be a little red box with a number in it that will show up in the upper right hand corner of the forum page you are on. The icon that it will appear on is a little envelope not far from your username.

Posters may want to make comments about schools on your list. Some of those comments aren't permitted on the open forum.

I will send you a test PM just to see if you understand the system.

Good luck with the site. I believe that Thailand's defamation laws hold the website's owner responsible for any actionable comments made on a website, even if someone else posted the comment. This law has resulted in several "Teflwatch" kind of sites being shut down in the past. Hopefully, as this site seems to be more impartial in its goals, it will survive.
