ubonjoe
It is not on the list of crossings shown here. http://www.laos-guide-999.com/Laos-border.html Perhaps just an error in the name you mentioned.

angelsephemera
Yes, this bridge- freindship bridge 3 or 4? some websites don't list it as VOA possible but this one does: http://www.gt-rider.com/touring-information-overview/s-e-asian-border-crossings/thailand-laos-border-crossing-notes Edited April 19, 2014 by angelsephemera
khwaibah
Yes, this bridge- freindship bridge 3 or 4? some websites don't list it as VOA possible but this one does: http://www.gt-rider.com/touring-information-overview/s-e-asian-border-crossings/thailand-laos-border-crossing-notes Neither of theses are number 3 or 4. The first photo is of a new bridge across the Mekong some 250 km inside Laos on highway 4. Look at the GPS. The other bridge is outside Loie (GPS is given) with a link to an article about a new bus service using this crossing daily. the bus service goes from Loie to Langorabang on Lao highway 4. By this article would make one thank that there is a Thai/Lao full service border crossing. This is the Ban Na Kra Seng Border Check Point. The river you see is not the Mekong but a tributary. http://www.tatnews.org/new-bus-route-between-loei-and-luang-prabang-launched-ahead-of-aec/
