I would really love to know what your views on the below are? or is that why you went of on the link tangent so you would not have to answer or face the uncomfortable and confronting facts that I presented.

People denounce him for telling the truth, for fearing for his safety. Yet they stay silent when two liars are scared to attend the criminal court to hear if their bail was revoked when Jatuporn's and Nattwutt's lawyer Winyat Chartmontree said both his clients were "sick". When there bail was nbot revoked they miraculously got better and thanked the courts.

No need for multiple sources, though an article about an incident that would plainly be newsworthy if true, but is not taken up by any other media people, does tend to raise more questions than answers. Especially when the two versions of that same story by the same news bureau tell different stories.

This "cursory meeting of little relevance" of which you speak - would it by any chance be the meeting to discuss the next Election, fairly important in the scale of things, the one where abhisit deemed it was important enough to insist on preconditions before he would turn up?

Democrat spokesman Chavanond Indrakomalsut said party leader Abhisit Vejjajiva will join the meeting, scheduled for next Tuesday, if the Pheu Thai leader, or a party executive with full power, also attends.

He also called for a live broadcast of the forum so people will be aware of politicians’ sincerity towards the nationwide polls.

There was a threat on a FB page with a history of getting it right, fine.

I don't know who's behind the FB page, but wouldn't it be a normal cause of action (even in Thailand) to file a police complaint? I do not in any way imply that the police will actually do something about it, just that it makes better publicity than simply not attending. Sending a representative would have worked just as well.

The threat itself may have been real, but as for carrying out a suicide attack - this sounds far fetched, at least in the context of Thai politics. The Bangkok Post story, implying that someone was posting from within the meeting seems to contradict this.

If this post was about the government representative failing to show up for the meeting and a mob of their supporters were trying to force their way into the building to put up posters supporting a democratic election, I bet we would have over a dozen pages of reply's / rant's already. Won't mention the posters who were recently praising Abhisit for being such a big man and agreeing to attend. Just saying ........
