Lite Beer
CAPO comes nearer to using special forces to arrest PDRC leaders BANGKOK, 26 April 2014 (NNT) – The Center for the Administration of Peace and Order (CAPO) is considering using special forces to arrest People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC) leaders, should violence again emerge during political demonstrations. The CAPO director, Pol. Capt. Chalerm Yubamrung, indicated that continuing assaults such as the grenade attacks on the Supreme Administrative Court and newspaper firm the Daily News were pushing CAPO closer to adopting resolute measures to arrest PDRC leaders. This would involve using special forces personnel. He asserted that the demonstrations have not been weapons-free. Therefore such a move by authorities would not constitute a dispersal of protesters, according to Pol. Capt. Chalerm. The CAPO director touched on the incident in which an Army colonel was shot and then assaulted by PDRC guards after he tried to move traffic cones in the vicinity of the PDRC's Chaeng Watthana rally site, to make space for his car to enter. Pol. Capt. Chalerm indicated that the PDRC guards have obviously been stockpiling weapons, and it was clear the political demonstration by the PDRC was not a peaceful protest. He also urged the public to avoid the Chaeng Watthana rally site in Bangkok for their own safety. The CAPO director also called on leaders of the United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) to avoid rallying their supporters to protest over the killing of UDD writer and poet Kamon Phasuk, as such an expression of hatred would further escalate current conflicts. -- NNT 2014-04-26

In addition the using special forces to arrest the leaders, these guards should be arrested and held to account for the violent acts they have committed. You mean honoring the guards for protecting innocent people including me, right? I'm right here at Chaengwatthana and it's a literal war zone, a constant rain of red grenades, gun fire, two major gun battles, one behind the constitutional court, and a bloody car bomb in my Soi. I gave up counting long ago. It's crazy. BAM! What was that?. Just a grenade. . The only reason more people are not dead is the military has been helping to design the perimeter defenses, which are formidable. Fields have been cleared, search lights installed, sometimes pointing at the top of DSI, millions of sandbags used for bunkers, and grenade guard nets, now with several holes. I would honesty be afraid for me and my family if these guards were not here risking their lives to protect me and others from Thaksin's red political tyranny. An not a policeman in sight. Are these the guards you are talking about? Edited April 26, 2014 by rabas

Funny that chalerm comes out with this the day after abhisit starts talking about talks to end this mess and yingluck says would meet him. Almost as if someone is scared he will lose his control of events. Even stranger is suthep reacted the same way. In addition the using special forces to arrest the leaders, these guards should be arrested and held to account for the violent acts they have committed. You say that with such fervence! First why would that court be attacked by the PDRC? And if they were not tossing a grenade at the court then their aim was off at tossing it at their own rally. The only violence the PDRC has really been proven to show was acting in self protection. Unlike the PTP and UDD who are aggressive and prone to attacking and destruction. You should take your red blinders off and look at this objectively Chalerm is using these bombings and the accidental shooting (which the guards went to the hospital to apologize to the man they shot) as an excuse to send m a hit team of special forces to capture the leaders. He is trying to claim its legal and that they can go in with armed forces again the same way they attacked the protester on that bridge a couple weeks ago. It will be a bloodbath of innocent people. Why doesnt chalerm find a peaceful way to serve his warrants for arrests? Why is he only going after the PDRC when the PTP AND UDD also have warrants to be arrested? Simply put he is pissed becauase the PDRC wont negitiate still to allow an election and the PTP and UDD are at wits end trying to get the PDRC out of the picture. Any excuse to take drastic measures is a good excuse if it means an end to the PDRC still rallying. Even a fake excuse if the people believe his lies!
Popular Post Robby nz
No mention of arrest any of the red leaders should they bring their army to BKK to confront the protesters. Surly the fact that they are recruiting an army which were called "Staff" so presumably like all staff are paid, must be against the law. As the army has said repeatedly that it will stay neutral how is he going to get "Special forces" to work for him ? Or does he mean police special forces ? As an aside, I always wandered how he managed to keep his police rank when he absconded from the police when there was an investigation into his unusual wealth. They have shot members of the army, police, beaten international journalists and even one female journalist from The Nation newspaper and countless other reported incidents like this... completely unprovoked. And these unprovoked attacks have all been reported on extensively throughout the media. Now whats the result of this boneheaded, undisiplened caveman like security force ? They create an atmosphere and a circle of violence that breeds more violence. No wonder their supporters are abandoning them in droves, in a few weeks the "final battles" will consist of 3 or 4 grandmas and Suthep, if the special forces unit hasn't tazered him and cuffed him already.

Popular Post Scamper
Chalerm has the temerity to blame the PDRC for these grenade attacks, that have now included the homes of Abhisit, Sukhumbhand, Dr. Narong, the Democratic party headquarters, the Criminal Court, the independent agencies, PDRC leaders' homes, Suthep's home ( three times ), as well as the PDRC rally sites themselves. Yes, that's some persuasive narrative, Chalerm. And now Chalerm's using it as the only excuse he can come up with to push for the closure of a legitimate movement deemed constitutional by the courts, including the Constitutional Court. As always, Chalerm sets out his own path and blusters through with his threats and with an exaggerated sense of his own power and importance. That's some Minister of Labour, stretching his mandate far beyond what any previous Minister of Labour would have believed possible.
Robby nz
Whats the point anyway Chalerm ? They would all be released on bail in a matter of hours. Lite Beer, on 26 Apr 2014 - 14:55, said: Sakoltee released on bailBANGKOK: -- The Criminal Court on Saturday granted bail for PDRC leader Sakoltee Phattiyakul after he deposited assets worth Bt600,000 as a guarantee. The court forbade him not to leave the country unless granted permission. The court also ordered him not to incite violence or lead protesters to close or besiege government offices again as key conditions for bail. -- The Nation 2014-04-26 Last time he tried to move on them all he accomplished was to up the dead body count, including two police. But I suppose the point from his view is to justify the billions he is getting to run his ineffective CAPO.

Popular Post than
Reds terrorist attack Bangkok citizen, protester and kill children, the only answer from Chalerm : arresting protest leaders. CAPO is just a joke, it is not work for the country but for the rubbish of thai society.... CAPO doesn't protect citizen but only criminal like Kotee and his gang ! Why CAPO is reluctant to investigate attack against protester? Why CAPO is averse to investigate murder of protester leaders ? Why CAPO is unwilling to investigate murder of children ?
