Authenticating Documents - Chaengwattana CLOSED due to Mob

Featured Replies

Hello all,

apologies if already done but.....

Just a quick update to let you all know we went to Chaengwattana 24/04/14 (last thurs) to get some thai/english translated documents authenticated. and we were told that we cannot go in due to the mob presence outside and presumably inside..

Instead we have got to go to Esplanade, Ratchada (right outside the Thailand Cultural Centre MRT stop), as they made a make shift office there. Apparently its on the 8th floor and they have a limit of 500 docs per day operated on a first come first served basis. it opens at 0830 in the morning. Esplanade is just round the corner from us (great as we just drove all the way to the otherside of town to chaengwattana) when we got there at 1300 they had already stopped processing so get there early,.we will go again monday.

I have no idea how long it will be like this and if other services are affected.

perhaps others could update this when everythings back to normal.

Attached pic is on the highway near chaengwattana. There were alot of guns around so its not a safe place to go atm.

Ta.
