Bangkok-to-Pattaya-and-back

Featured Replies

How come it takes 2 hours to get to Pattaya, and only 30 minutes to return to Bangkok?

Bigger question: How come every time I return to BKK, the gal next to me and the taxi driver go wayYYY back in terms of conversation?

1. Less people leave Pattaya than Bangkok

2. Everyone can talk about food and whether it's tasty and cheap, again and again

Takes us almost exactly the same time either way. We do this trip all the time. Sorry, but impossible to do it in 30 minutes...either way.

Where is your departure point in Bangkok?

Maybe the Helicopter pilot was low on fuel, so he took his time getting to Pattaya.

Impossible?

Perhaps the interesting conversation between the gal and the cabbie makes time fly...

The bottle of Chang helps, too.

Takes me the same amount of time each way. It's the same amount of miles

I've never noticed a difference, either.

By the way, does anyone want to share a taxi from Bangkok to Pattaya Friday night, preferably at 8-ish from around Sukhumvit?
