How come it takes 2 hours to get to Pattaya, and only 30 minutes to return to Bangkok?

Bigger question: How come every time I return to BKK, the gal next to me and the taxi driver go wayYYY back in terms of conversation?

1. Less people leave Pattaya than Bangkok

2. Everyone can talk about food and whether it's tasty and cheap, again and again

Takes us almost exactly the same time either way. We do this trip all the time. Sorry, but impossible to do it in 30 minutes...either way.

The taxi driver is her "brother".

Maybe the Helicopter pilot was low on fuel, so he took his time getting to Pattaya.
