asking again, if you owe taxes to government, and cant pay, will they take the condo? For now everything is ok, I pay taxes....Will the government seize my condo, has that happened to anybody before?

I concede that English may not be your first language, but try reading the responses given to date

Further no one can give you a definitive answer simply because you have never mentioned which EU country your talking about, different countries different rules, but can they seize property in another country, most likely not, unless you have done something very bad, or its significant amounts of money involved.

Could they "technically" try and recover monies owned by retaining a debt collection agency in Thailand, yes they could if there was enough money in it...

Too many variables, which country do you owe tax, how much. I have known people Max out credit cards before they retire as it wouldn't be worth chasing the debt.

Now 1 million euro tax maybe different.

Edit to read better worded post above.

for USD 45k, one thinks not, recovering monies in another country is complicated and expensive, so to go through all the hassle it needs to be worthwhile for them, they will just play the waiting game, if a government we are talking about and unpaid taxes they will get you eventually one suspects

again you haven't stated which country we are talking about, and certain countries do with hold passports when you try and renew them in certain cases, so if your country is one of those countries, you could try to renew your passport and they withhold your passport until you get the issue sorted out
