Insurance for fiance to America

My fiance and her daughter plan to come to America soon. Probably June. I can't add them to my insurance plan until we are married, which could be a week or two after they arrive.

I'd prefer they have insurance. Would travel insurance fit the bill while they are in America for a couple of weeks until I get them on my plan?
