There must be a double skinned mug available with water (or other liquid) in the skin and which could be frozen before filling the glass. Ideal solution without compromising the taste and strength. Whatever happened to those re-freezable plastic ice-cubes by the way? We had them in UK 20 years ago.</font>

I got one of these mugs at home. Cold ok, but the beer just does not taste the same from the plastic rim.

Am I picky now? Nah, just drink faster as long as the pub serves it cold.

The ice-in-beer solution I do somethimes up-country and out-of-country. Well, idfficult to judge what's in the ice.

... Make ice cubes out of beer.    :o

Interesting concept,

Alcohol has a much lower freeze point than water, what you may end up with is "Beer-garitas" ... a frozen slurry concoction maybe,

oh well, back to the lab .. :D

So the fridge ends up working overtime the next morning to get back to the set temperature....

You MAY save a few baht but probly end up getting a dead fridge earlier than you would if you left it plugged in...

The faster you drink the less ice you need to use. One big chunk should last 3 to 4 bottles  :D

My father in law and I get a great laugh when my wifes asks for a beer. I stack her glass up with so much ice she can't get her lips onto the rim, hence she can't take a drink.

Boy the in law gets a great laugh from that, it has been a little bonding thing for us for a long time now, occasionally I do it to him and it is just as funny.

TiT where the simple things in life are often the best.

Tuk! You've got to let me try that if I ever get to meet him. :o
