Proper way to prepare those bags of street food

Forgive my ignorance, I've never been much of a cook. I recently bought a rice cooker and 5 pound bag of brown rice to use as a base for those little bags of street food.

Is it fine to dump the street food bag contents right into the rice cooker (that has the water and rice in it), and let everything cook together?

Or do I need to cook the rice, and then put everything on a plate in a microwave to cook the other ingredients?

A rice cooker is for cooking rice (and maybe a soup). I'd cook the rice separately, I think it would be a right mess if you dumped everything in at the same time.

Agree with you there.

Not 100% sure what the OP is referring to but if it's the small, clear, plastic bags then my wife uses them (and there are many varietes) as a side/dip sauce.

Am slowly understanding how she buys as it's based on colour, texture, solid/liquid ratio, etc, etc, but of course can't smell or taste beforehand.

Strange thing is she doesn't have a favourite stall, buys completely at random.

Edit: She never heats the sauces.
